1956 Jr back from Uncle Greg

Bought this a few months ago in this super ugly condition.

So after some deliberation it went out to Uncle Greg and we got "The Bastard" into shape. Kinda inspired by Charlie Starr

Very happy how it came out. Got an antiquity JB in the bridge and a 60s patent sticker T top in the neck.

Was that the original color or finish in picture 1?
Is it just black over the finish in picture 1 or is it a new burst aswell?

First pic is a very amateur refin. Black was shot right over that refin. Purists can pound salt, or make me an offer and get it restored lol. Planning on selling the patent sticker pups...

They just don't work well for my sound. I need more aggressive sounding pups.

You might regret selling them. I had a patent sticker pickup in the neck position on my old ‘74 Custom. I thought it was one of the best sounding humbuckers I’ve ever played.
