So was it re-necked with a later 50's neck? I guess you can't complain too much if that is the case.

Early 60's...which is funny because I came across this '57 Goldtop a few months back that also had its neck replaced in the 60's. It got a "Keystone."

The "Nite Owl" came out of Houston. One owner....but I don't know where his band hailed from.

Jeez! What's in the pic? A 57' LP, a Strat and P Bass from mid '59 no later than end of L series, and two mid-late 1950s Selmer Mk VI tenor saxes, not to mention the amps and vintage Ludwig drum kit. There's a ton of money in that photo.

If there ever was a vintage Goldtop that could run with the Memphis Mojo Burst in terms of gigged-to-death vibe, it would be this guitar!

Hi Eric, I really want to hear what you know about the pickup selector switch. I have, what appears to be, the same switch on my '66 SG custom. Never seen one like it till now.
