'09 Les Paul Traditional Plus with "Historic Vintage'59 Conversion Kit"

Hi peeps,

I'm researching to buy my first Les Paul and came across this '09 Traditional plus with a historic 59 mod kit, built by an ebay reseller:

The good part about this is that he's local and willing to sell it directly to me, without having to go through ebay (thus discount).

I wasn't really planning on an R9, that's just too expensive for me, but what do you guys think about this one, compared to a new traditional or standard?
What are things to look out for to make sure his work was legit and the sound is really improved by what he did?

They should @ least used a historic correct pick guard not the pink one.

THIS!!!!

For **** sake there is a guy here (member classifieds) selling a REAL r8 for 2500... This guitar on eBay IS OVERPRICED BIG TIME!!!!

guy is on crack asking that kind of money. Same seller had one for months on eBay with no offers back when I was looking for a Traditional.

Definitely a lot of money, but pretty funny, I basically made all those mods to my Trad Pro.

Thanks peeps. I guess it's prob better to just buy a new 2012 trad pro if I can't find an R8 or R7 around this price.
