Their were plenty of respondents.
He also admitted he was having your git repaired.
As far as contacting the authorities, I would not waste the time.
"This dog has no teeth".
This is a ploy many people started to use during the housing boom.
Agree on a price, then, renegotiate at closing.
If you let him push you around he will only try to do it to someone else.
On other forums they "Black ball" unscrupulous buyers or sellers.
I think they should do the same here.

On another note:
He is not going to turn you in to the authorities (It is a civil matter not criminal.)
The amount in question will prevent him from sueing you. (Attorneys prices being what they are)
Unless he has nothing better to do, I would simply not address his rants.
But, be sure to post them in this forum.

it's funny you said that about renegotiating the price... the kid did that when he bought it. first he lowballed me and I refused then he said a higher number and i accepted then he came back lower again amd i agreed to "help him get a great guitar". I agree about blackballing people but iirc we have banned members amd they pop up under aliases a lot.

Id be surprised if someone who sells alot here hasnt read this thread yet. The title should be changed to "AVOID CESSNAPILOT" and made a sticky at the top of the forum.

Go through all his posts and print out anything and everything you can just in case, which i believe is unlikely that they try any type of legal action.. He has not keep his word on anything he has said, at least from what I have read. If he is 18, you have no obligation to deal with the Dad. I would put it out of your mind and not even think about it again. Best of luck.

Good advice!! Dig into those emails and threads and save everything. I'd copy and paste and save. Then print later if necessary.

Basically they didn't even fill out the damage reports at the Post Office, which was the first thing I told them to do, and after, it seems to me, the kid tries to trade and sell it they try to threaten me. My college roommate passed the bar a few years back and is practicing now, business law, so I'm not really worried.

This was a long sad thread to read for so many reasons. I came into it basically hoping for some sweet photos of Historics and OTPG PAFs. Wow. I didn't expect all this.

Ben, my best wishes are with you for all the various drama in your life right now, mostly your parents as it sounds like the other problem is going away.

my parents and my pregnant wife are my biggest concerns followed closely by grad school and dealing with the vultures that swoop in any time a family member gets sick. This drama is way down on my give a shit list. Between my dad's mood swings and spiraling mental decline, my mothers brain problems, and my wife and I dealing with not only immigration but insurance companies and the like this guy and his family are a biting gnat. I tried to help them but in the end their deciet and inaction in resolving the problem makes me not really care one way or the other about them.
