nope.. once he started taking the guitar apart and trying to sell/ trade it off, while I was sitting here waiting for it to be returned, that was it. it is over. it is his guitar now.

Wait, what Ben?? who is selling your guitar in parts?

ah Nic the kid was taking the pups out of the R6 and was apparently trying to sell/ trade the guitar while I had been sitting here waiting for three weeks or so for it to be returned. Once he took the parts out that was it.

Yeah, CessnaPilot turned out to be a little schyster..Still got a helluva deal nonetheless..

You know whats the saddest part of the whole ordeal is? That if one of the forum regulars knew just how cheap Ben was willing to let that R6 go, it would have been smooth sailing from start to finish.

I sold it to him so cheap because I wanted to let a younger player get a killer guitar.... it took me forever to get killer gear and I would have loved to have a guitar like that when i was 18.

UPDATE: The father emailed me again saying they found a guy they trust to repair the guitar and asked my to send the shipping insurance info ( already sent it once before). I have resent it and I hope this resolves this situation but honestly at this point I don't think EMS is going to do anything because the claims should have been filed when the guitar arrived, not over a month later.

Oh well I have done what I can and I hope this is finally over now.

Sounds like it's their issue now, not yours. The whole thing was delt with poorly on their end, as I see it.

Lay in the bed you make.....

just got an email from the kids dad threatening me again... according to EMS they haven't done the damage report but they are back to trying to say they will send the cops after me.... how can anyone be this thick? I did everything possible and the kid and his family tried to manipulate me at every turn and then the wait for the guitar to be returned for weeks only to find out he is taking it apart and trying to trade/ sell it!!! Got take apart your TV and try and return it to Walmart and see where that gets you!

I told him to file the damage report because otherwise EMS won't even talk about it with you but at this point I think they have waited so long EMS is gonna tell them to piss off... if you wanted a refund then you should have filed within a week or so. There is a reasonable time limit on anything.

yeah tomorrow I am going to the police with copies of our emails and all contact and transaction info and see if I can't get some kind of no contact order placed on them... I am seriously tired of their crap. He had the nerve in the email to say he was "tired of my games".

Ben you did more than most would have. They can't do anything to you. I'd have their number(s) blocked. Not worth the headaches.

And every chance I got I'd embarrass the "kid". He's still floating around. He made the mess then passed it to his parents. He's just as responsible for these phone calls in my opinion.

Didn't the kid post last month saying he was having the guitar repaired and keeping it?!

I have the feeling the kid lied to me when he said he was 18.... I have that in a pm where I specifically asked and he said he was 18. this has just turned out to be a nightmare situation and should serve as a warning to everyone to be very careful of who you do business with and don't be a softie and try to help just do what is required of you and move on.

Sheesh, Ben. I'm glad you're ready to move on from this BS. I'm sure ready for this to be done for you.

Cessnapilot, you and your parents should be ASHAMED of your behavior.

I gotta think the kid is playing both sides here...telling his dad one thing and Ben another.
