Customizations
I kinda regret modifying the 77' Goldtop with the Humbuckers but It was a long time ago . That was my first Les Paul. If you notice the Norlin era style horn is fat, and there is no carve to the top, pretty much flat! I later got a new Les Paul in 1980 ($680 CDN) ! and the horn was the pointy shape you see from 79' to 82'.
Interestingly, if you look at the 82' Heritage 80 somebody at Gibson finally dialed in the shape back to the correct pre Norlin era and the body has a nice carve.
