Best trigger I‘ve ever had in that Ruger! I did have a gunsmith lighten it off for me though. The one in my Walther is really good out of the box!

I agree with your purple entirely but sadlly everything semi auto got handed back in. I bet my Ruger wasn’t destroyed and is sitting in some Copper's cupboard right now...too sweet to crush!

    Cake!!!

You hit my trigger.....wine trifle! Mum’s used to be killer and she always used to make it for me. Unfortunately her recipe wasn’t part of my inheritance. Back to Lamingtons: I’ve just discovered that they can be taken up a notch by adding double thick custard laced liberally with brandy....oh...

    Cake!!!

Mate I LOVEL Lamingtons! I often have one after lunch of a day. Had the “Beetus” for close to 20 years now so it’s all the badness of yesteryear coming back to bite me I’m afraid. “Signs of a misspent youth?"

Oh ye fishermen teach me thy secrets of trout fishing

We have European Carp in all our waterways and they are referred to as “Rabbits of the waterways” hereabouts. They do enormous damage to the habitat muddying the water and cutting out the light. I’ve seen them sunning themselves in the rivers like bloody great submarines on the surface. I often...

Stuff your dad didn't teach you.

I’ve been very fortunate to have the parents I’ve had as they taught me most things I needed to know as I grew up, including dad giving me "the“ talk. I did that for both my boys at about 14. Dad taught me to shoot and we had lots of fun together, he also taught me to fish and from the age of...

    So long, little buddy...

Fry my friend, my heart sank when I read the title knowing what was probably contained within. I know nothing I can say will help you but you’ve been through it before and know how hard it is and that the pain will fade with time. But you NEVER forget them. I’m so, so sorry.

Oh ye fishermen teach me thy secrets of trout fishing

I’ve eaten Rainbows and Browns out of my dam & wild and there was no difference. I suppose it depends on the water they come out of. I like eating both but if I had to choose it would be a Brown trout. My dam raised fish forage naturally though just like in the wild.
