Review by 'RedWolf' on item '1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior'

I was searching for a Gibson from my birth-year 1960. It wasn't going to be a LP Standard $$ so I opted for an affordable Gibson. I was searching for a '60 with a '59 neck profile but they are rare and I would've had to import without playing the instrument. I settled for a slim neck carve and...

Review by 'RedWolf' on item '1969 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe G/T'

This is the only Les Paul that I own (discounting a LP Jr) and there's a reason for that - I'm a 'Strat guy'. I have ten of them and several PRSi. This guitar however is amazing. The luthier who performed the re-fret was amazed by the rare rosewood in the fretboard.

Slim neck but not super slim like my '69 LP G/T. Lovely resonant body.

1969 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe G/T

This is a 1969 G/T with some alterations: It has a very slim 60s taper on neck. Body is fairly hefty. Three piece laminated neck. The story of the purchase of this guitar, and the subsequent drama, is long so I'll try to be succinct. Played a friends' guitar - loved it. Years later bought the...

Brian Ray Collection '57 GT, '59 Burst, etc.

Did anyone else notice that the Fiesta Red P-Bass had "Glenn Cornick" stenciled on the case? Glenn Cornick....Jethro Tull's original bassist!!! I'm surprised he didn't mention it. I think he said he bought it off an English guy doing pub gigs. Maybe that WAS Glenn, maybe someone else.

Let's See Your First LP; Details, and Do You Still Have It?

Here are some piccies of my first ever Les Paul. I've only owned this guitar about six months. I bought it from a work mate from my time in a pro guitar shop. The friend had owned it since 1985 and gigged it professionally for many years. It tried it years ago when he brought it to work and it...

    How to date 1969 P90s..?

The P90 pickups that are pictured are from a 1969 Les Paul Deluxe goldtop. I can see what looks like a date stamp on the neck pickup of 1979. Is that what this series of numbers would refer to? Do you think that these are genuine original P90 pickups from 1969?

    1969 Deluxe GT with P90s (?)

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here and I'd like to ask a question of the collective of LP experts here. A friend of mine is offering to sell me his much loved 1969 GT Deluxe. He's owned it for over 30 years. Some years ago I played this guitar and it set my heart racing. It has a three-piece...
