I appreciate your kind words concerning my guitar.
You know I gotta say this, IMO there is no one assembly line guitar being made
today that is going to return "investment grade" money. And if there is I don't know what guitar it would be. Have a great day!
Murphy Lab. Just the name "Murphy Lab" makes me giggle.
It's just a marketing strategy. Keep what you have.
As long as the guitar has a long neck tenon you're golden. My Gibson Heritage 80 Les Paul
My Dad bought it for me in 1980 from Alex's on 48th st Manhattan. $1200 in 1980 dollars.
I remember when these guitars came out. I'm guessing it was the mid 90s.
They where really well made guitars. They sounded really good.
And yes they where made in Switzerland.
Use it in the best of health!
Found this video of me from 2012 on the internet today.
A hot summer night so I decided to go to my friends "open mic" and play my 335.
This is from 2012 and I have no idea what amp or pedals I'm playing.
The Made in Memphis Historic fat neck is completely stock.
It has a little bit bigger neck...
All I can tell you is there is nothing better than playing a good Vintage 56, 57, 58, 59, 60 Les Paul or 335. And then in 1963 the Firebirds came out. You haven't lived until you've played a custom color Firebird V. Nothing compares to the vintage guitars.
The Gibson Murphy Lab Re-issue...
Actually no one else in my family plays guitar. My Dad passed away
several years ago and left me all of his guitars too.
I've been trying to figure out who I'm gonna leave my guitars too.
I want them to go to somebody young who will appreciate and play them.
I have a friend in his late 20s who...
Thank you! Yeah the guitar is really cool. I like the top because it's not too ostentatious.
It' has no more finish on the back of the neck. I wore it down to bare wood just by playing it.
The finish on the body is completely broken down. Decades of playing have caused the lacquer to breakdown...
I've had this Les Paul for 41 years. My Dad took me to 48th st in Manhattan back in June of 1980 and said get whatever you want. So I chose this 1980 Gibson Heritage Elite. Over the last 40 something years I've played this guitar so much it looks like a Super heavy relic guitar. It's never been...
Imo for that kinda money there should be some red left on the top.
Bonamassa just bought my friends 1959 for $375,000. His dad bought
it new in 1959 when he was in high school. He got in touch with
Bonamassa through Norms rare guitars.
The guitar had lots of red in the finish and double cream...
