Saw them Sunday. He played it on Fade to Black, Seek and Destroy, and maybe one other song but I can't recall which. Personally I thought it sounded killer. I'm glad he's using it live and obviously enjoying it.
Nice cabs guys. I heard back from Eminence, I have v1216s in my cab. Still haven't had a chance to crank it except briefly at home but just playing at a modest volume I'm really liking these speakers. I may try subbing one out for a made in England V30 I have just to see how the two mix but I'll...
That's where I got the info to send to Eminence. There's no model number on the tag, just the codes:
67-0741A 0140 L2 16ohm
Sent that to Eminence via email, but of course they're closed for the holiday so hopefully I'll hear back next week.
Merry Christmas to me. Picked up this cab off of Craigslist for basically half price. There isn't a scratch on it.

It came with Eminence Legends, but it looks like they were a model specifically made for Avatar (Cab is rated 50 watts). The guy who sold...
Someone on a different forum contact Celestion about them and got kind of a vague reply. I'm not really interested in specs for them or even their history all that much, just looking for players' personal experience with them.
Edit: rereading my original post I could have been a little more...
The closest I've come is I have what's either a 60's PAF or Pat# (Sticker is missing) that reads 8.2. I've used in the neck extensively and it's never been muddy. Always sounded killer in what ever guitar I've had it in, neck or bridge position.
I have a Valley Arts 4x12 cab that came with these in it. They look like this
They are not the Hendrix greenbacks that came out a while back. I haven't been able to find much info on them but it seems like that they came out in the 80's in certain Marshall cabs, were universally reviled, and...
Just wanted to add my $.02. I really love this amp. Live I play it just shy of cranked, gain around 11 o'clock, 1x12 cab with a vintage 30. My drummer beats the hell out of his kit and the Orange has no problem keeping up. Couldn't be happier with this amp.
Just picked one up off of CL about a month ago and have been gigging with it since. Barely touched the tone stack, they're all basically around noon, gain at 11 o'clock and cranked it nails the sound I'm going for. I've been wanting an Orange for a while now. Couldn't be happier.
Just out of curiosity does anyone else run a SIBLY or any other Phaez through Vintage 30s? It's funny I've tried it before though the 2x12 that came with my Bassman and I never thought it sounded that good, too midrangy, but I tried it again today, adjusted the boost and the mid a bit and...
My band has started recording again. The whole album is my SIBLY throughout though I broke down and put a fuzz on a couple tracks. The engineer loves it, we did a session of overdubs and solos last week and just cranked it. So much fun. I'm starting to think about getting another Phaez but not...
This whole debate strikes me as being similar to those odd celebrity couple arguments that people engage in. I.e. Brad Pitt should be married to so this person rather than that person because she would treat him better, or their personalities are a better match etc.
