Whats the deal with PRS guitars?

Alot of people really like PRS guitars. I tried to like them, (owned a CE24...tried a bunch of high end models), but decided to stick with my Fender/Gibson guitars. A few reasons why I don't play PRS: - the sound isn't bad, but the tones I get out of my Fender/Gibson guitars suit my playing...

    Hated songs by great bands?

I love Four Sticks !!! I use to think Whiter Shade of Pale was boring, but I have to say that I actually really like it alot now. Actually I love most fo the songs named so far...... Won't get fooled again?? thats fricken bad ass IMO. There are plenty of songs that I don't care for, but...

From a Les Paul to a Custom Stratocaster?

I play an R9 and I also play a few CS Strats & Teles. Yeah, It'll feel different at 1st. Just spend some quality time on the Strat, and you'll get used it. I make it a point to rotate through my guitars on a regular enough basis to keep up the muscle memory for the different feels.

Why do I hate strats? And do I need therapy?

^ That was a cool gimmick to get attention, but Jimi loved Strats, he played them almost exclusively. and actually I don't believe he liked the Telecaster all that much. (I do though!) Love the sounds this guy gets on a Strat..

How are the newer Custom Shop Strats? Are they worth it? And...

I don't get hung up on the " somebody else beat up my guitar" thing with relics. I see them more as a work of art. Some look really cool IMO... some don't. I like all kinds of looks for guitars whether its nos, closet classics, relics, or whatever. On the days that I was shopping for...

How are the newer Custom Shop Strats? Are they worth it? And...

Fender Custom Shop Strats are really nice! I have a couple of relic Strats, and a "lush closet classic".... love them!

Why do I hate strats? And do I need therapy?

Ofcourse a Les Paul sounds thicker and/or "louder" than a Strat, because of the humbuckers. They can still sound great together though. Its a matter of balance. In your case, the person playing rhythm on a Les Paul should have recognized that he was too loud and turned down so you could...

Why do I hate strats? And do I need therapy?

Thats really a lesson on what happens when 2 people play through the same amp at the same time, but I can understand how it turn you off from the Strat.

Why do I hate strats? And do I need therapy?

Well I guess I shouldn't have used the word "most" because I really wasn't trying to argue statistics. Let me put it this way.... plenty of people that play Strats enjoy using the bar, which makes sense because its clearly one of the key features of that model. I get your point that If you...

Why do I hate strats? And do I need therapy?

Speaking of Joe Walsh, things like Life in the Fast Lane, or Life's Been Good. Those riffs just wouldn't sound the same on a Les Paul. I've seen a few people here say that a Strat is "bland". I must argue that Strats are the opposite of bland. They absolutely have a strong...

Why do I hate strats? And do I need therapy?

A lot of people that play Strats do use the Trem/vibrato bar. I would say that most people that truly love Strats use the bar. If for some reason you really don't want to use it, but like playing the Strat, you just don't use it. Leave it in the case. You can set the bridge up so it doesn't...

Why do I hate strats? And do I need therapy?

Hey if you don't like the way a Strat sounds, you don't like it. I have no cure for that ailment. I sure do love my Strats though.
