NOGD 1959 Double Cut Special TV Yellow

My first vintage piece. I’m a player, not a collector, but my friend has a stake in a vintage dealership and they had an event near me. I knew they were bringing this guitar and I was curious. I brought my amp, plugged it in and ... well, that was it. This particular old guitar sounds fantastic...

I’m going to gig my Braz R9

I think my best sounding guitar is my 2018 R9 with a braz board. Before the shutdown, I was reluctant to gig with it because it is really expensive and I was a little afraid to take it out. But it is a joy to play, especially loud when the guitar really opens up. I have a new band and we...

NGD - 60th Anniversary R0 v2 Slow Ice Tea fade

Thanks to Curt at HOG for hooking me up. Very cool flame on this one, pops in some angles but very subtle on other angles. I was able to hang out at the store yesterday, great seeing Curt and great to be in a real guitar shop again.

WCR Jim Wagner godwood pickup set nickel covers

I have a spare set of WCR Jim Wagner godwood pickups. The covers on the pickups are tarnished, IMO they don't really look as bad as in the pics but I tried to capture everything so there are no surprises. The bridge measures 10.03 and neck 8.44. I guarantee the pickups work, if they don't...

WCR Jim Wagner Godwood / Goodwood pickup set (old), 4 wire

I'm doing a little cleaning up of my studio. This is an old Jim Wagner Goodwood / Godwood 4 wire pickup set. Each pickup has at least 15" of length. The bridge reads 9.98 and the neck reads 8.37. These pickups were in my number 1 for years and that's why they are naturally reliced. If you...

Had a chance to play a burst last week

I had an extra hour in Chicago last week and before flying back to NJ I was able to stop by Chicago Music Exchange to say hello to my salesman Matt - I've bought a few Les Pauls from Matt and I wanted to introduce myself and check out CME in the process. After introductions and talking about...

    How many 17/18/19 Brazilian reissues?

Just curious, anyone know or have a reasonable guess how many Braz reissues Gibson has put our since 17? I remember reading somewhere that Edwin Wilson (?) acquired enough to make 1,000 guitars. I think Gibson made a few 335s with Braz boards in 17 or 18, maybe for CME. I wish I had bought one.

    A Question about M2M

does anyone know why the custom shop won't guarantee the weight of a custom order to be in a certain range? (I.e. 8.25 pounds plus or minus 4 ounces). Seems like this is something they could absolutely nail. The fact that they won't guarantee a weight, even within a reasonable range, has...

Hypothetically, if one wanted to shine up a VOS guitar, how do you do it? Virtuoso cleaner and then polish? Something else? Asking for a friend.

    NGD! 2018 Brazilian '59 RI

I caved. Thank you Curt and HOG! Color is "Slow Iced Tea Fade." Neck is just right for me, not as thin as a '60 and nowhere near as fat as previous year 59s. 8 pounds 1 oz. This Les Paul is perfect.

    SOLD please delete

SOLD The guitar has a few light scratches throughout -- the sort of thing that happens when you play a guitar, etc. -- but overall I'd say the guitar is in really nice shape. The guitar has basically sat in my studio and been cared for. There have never been any breaks, major scratches, etc. I...

    Brazilian prices?

Hi all -- I was thinking about picking up a recent year Brazilian-boarded LP, but I'm curious about pricing. What do you think a reasonable price is for a nice 17 or 18 LP with a braz board, a nice top, and not too heavy? This is for a second-hand piece, not new from a dealer. Thanks (PM me...

Lifeson Les Paul with Floyd - Opinions?

hi all - I have the opportunity the buy a new Lifeson Les Paul in Viceroy Brown with a Floyd. What are your opinions? I’ve never played one — and I won’t be able to try before I buy (although I can return it) — and I’m curious your opinions. Thanks in advance.
