We’d better hang on to our memories tight

Cancelling the skunk, meh. Cancelling Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam is a serious problem. If they come for Rat Fink there will be war!

    MLP Weekly Movie Club

Great selection! Haven't watched it in years. This is one my wife will hopefully enjoy. She thinks the kaiju movies are dumb; as she watches her 1970's kung fu movies.:rofl:

Show me on the Sneech where Dr. Seuss hurt you.

Pete, it's more insidious than that. Google "Dr Seuss cancel". Schools are purging the Seuss books around our country and around the globe. The publisher is reacting to pressure by special interest groups. This isn't about books that didn't age well. The books were aging fine until about a...

    Hail, fountain pens!

I take a lot of notes as I can't remember a thing. One of my biggest professional regrets is that I never learned shorthand. I was going to shortly after college graduation, but never did follow through. Would have made the last 40+ years quite a easier.

    Hail, fountain pens!

From what you described it sounds like we orient the pen/paper in similar fashion. I have the paper rotated about 45 degrees counter-clockwise. For the most part my hand & fingers are above the line, but not entirely.

    Hail, fountain pens!

Any of you fountain pen guys left handed? It doesn't end well. I use Pilot G2 ultra-fine gel because it's fast drying and doesn't smear. Long ago I tried using fountain pens but it just wasn't practical for someone who writes as much as I do. Ops! Didn't see @Who already pointed this out.

Show me on the Sneech where Dr. Seuss hurt you.

Having been born in Scotland, some of the first books I was exposed to were the "Noddy" series. They are off the dial in terms of modern culture. A couple years ago I bought an original edition of the first book for my grandson who lives in CA. Subsequent editions have been scrubbed. He's...

Well ,, here. I go again

Well you'd better start with you screen name and change it from "meatball" to "kale".  I have to do the same and drop a solid 10+ lbs pounds from 2020. I think your plan of just eating less, eating better, no snacks, and exercise is a one. I'm going to do the same shortly. My...

    I'm Just a Singer in a R+R Band

Tim, so fitting your thread about singing and poetry gives a nod to the Moody Blues. The only band I can think of that was made up of five poets. Most of their music was poetry put to music. My favorite - "New Horizons": Well I've had dreams enough for one And I've got love enough for three...

    Beans a la Bayhead

It was so freak'n cold crawling out of bed on winter mornings. If you weren't in front of the fireplace or woodstove, you were cold. But summer was absolutely amazing! As a kid, there was just so much to do, so much to explore between the woods and the coastline.
