    Seeking Luthier/Tech input on Bridge and Tail Piece set up

    If a customer brings a guitar in for setup that has a two piece bridge and tail piece, such as an LP with the Abr-1 or Nashville tuneomatic, why might you have the raise the tail piece to set the guitar up properly? What are the drawbacks of not raising the tail piece when it is needed?
