My folks hated seeing those magazines around - knowing I had spent "good money" on them.
I had to treat them almost like pornography!
(Not that "Creem" wasn't already a bit suggestive...)
And they were often "unavailable" it the dinky department store in town that sold the edited 45 rpm...
Wow, Dave. You're quick on the trigger there.
The answer is a sure no.
But I believe the post above is within the realm of the thread and was certainly phrased politely enough.
Curiously, this is the first time I have EVER seen you post such a question in a thread.
It NEVER appeared in any of...
Oh, yes - one more observation for the Marshall-as-a-stage-prop folks:
There's not a single cable visible that we would expect to be plugged into the heads - front or back.
Power? Input? :hmm:
Even 60 Hz AC is wireless nowadays, eh? :D
I just brought my JCM 800 stack...
I saw rush on the Moving Pictures tour over 30 years ago.
First and only time.
Now people get nostalgic about what a killer tour it was, and I can say I been there/done that.
Still have the t-shirt somewhere... :hmm:
I have always been conflicted about Rush; I was never a big fan, but...
No danger of that ever happening.
Mine discovered that the warnings I gave during the unraveling of the marriage were not empty threats.
"Keep this sh!t up and you will be paying all your bills yourself" evidently did not register. :dunno:
By the time the divorce was final, I gave her...
You have always been the go-to for Tulsa info! :applause:
Yeah, I know.
I'm hoping against hope here.
Doesn't hurt to try, eh? :D
The only thing I hate as bad as urban living is urban traffic.
I might as well get planted as closely as possible to the school to avoid traffic...
CL hasn't provided me with more than one single promising lead for what amounts to a big closet with a bathroom.
I am beginning to think it's the best thing going.
And over-priced, over-hyped apartments?
Let's just say I'm not part of the usual "university" demographic...
Okay all you Tulsa, Oklahoma folks -
I am in need of cheap housing near University of Tulsa beginning August 1, 2015.
I am a quiet, boring, married, late-forties, non-smoking man relocating from Arizona.
Looking for a quiet 1-bedroom garage apartment, mother-in-law cottage or casita kind...
Did this "explosion" actually occur in a power plant as the media is bleating?
Looks like a generic run-of-the-mill switchgear failure to me.
But what would a power plant operator know? :dunno:
Where are all the forum's linemen? :run: :hyper:
Well, that sucks. :hmm:
I completely understand the sentiment, but I still have other amps that I actually USE.
The Marshall is cool - and it is indeed something you have to experience to "get" it - but I rarely use it.
I can live without it, and I predict that any future regret will be easily...
Thanks Rob!
You pretty much nailed my modus operandi, as cited by every one of my family and friends.
I would like to think there's actually something to it. :D
Well, that's the thing.
My family has been in the Oil Biz since WWII.
My folks started their own well service...
LBJ was president when I was born...
And yes - this is a huge adjustment after a lifetime of adjustments.
I have been blessed with a couple of fruitful and interesting careers, but this is a massive undertaking.
Actually, I never graduated from high school... :laugh2:
While I appreciate the sentiment, I could not disagree more strongly on one count:
You want to give the government more power to jerk people around?
It's NEVER limited to only the people it was meant to screen.
And pilots are screened better than most any other profession already.
Sounds like part of my own Schaller installation process... :thumb:
I also use the Gibson screws and grind them down a bit if needed.
Cutting new threads with different screws over old threads from perfectly good screws is not a good idea.
I also use faucet washers under the Schaller buttons...
