I’ve never seen a stock reissue ABR with its saddle tops wear like that, exposing the brass color. Worth taking a look. ABR, IMHO makes a huge differnece in EQ and feel.
Gorgeous looking R8, is that abr stock? My No.1 LP has no hide glue, no honduran mahogany, normal indian rosewood, bb pickups. And I don’t even quite like the top.Nothing out of the ordinary. But it sounds killer and feels connected, extraordinary dynamics.
Considering Tom’s age, I think Gibson is trying to transfer “murphy aged” to “murphy lab aged” so it can keep digging deep into your wallets.
I repsect his work around 2000,but not any more. Whatever fancy terms Gibson use, not from me anymore.
