Man, it looks SO GOOOD!!! I can only imagine how impatient you'll be to pick it up! As soon as it happens we want detailed pictures and maybe a sound sample :)

CC#16 Historic Makeover by Jaeger Guitars

You really are at the finishing line! I guess that seeing the end of the makeover must be an amazing moment! :cheers2: I think you'll be missing the updates though. It's easy to develop an addiction for Florian's early morning emails! I will also be picking the guitar up in person when it is...

CC#16 Historic Makeover by Jaeger Guitars

@LesPauli: Fretboard work looks amazing! Any news on the aging? I can only imagine how impatient you are at the moment! Tension has starting to build-up on my side too and my guitar isn't ready for finishing yet :)

R9 Upgrade with Vintage Parts (pic heavy)

I'm curious now, were you able to measure the values of the centralab pots? Nowadays you see a lot of them that have drifted in the 600-700k range. So that might contribute to the effect you have experienced.

    CC#1 Historic Makeovers Greeny Conversion

Congrats! Normally I'm not a fan o Greeny's replicas (to me they always look off) but yours is stellar! Selection of parts is impeccable too!. I've also purchased a full set of vintage haven parts for my les paul (which is undergoing a full-makeover by Florian Jaeger) and Steve it's absolutely...

CC#16 Historic Makeover by Jaeger Guitars

I know I know, I will do a dedicated thread eventually ;) It's going to stay close to the original color, which I believe can be defined as a faded golden poppy burst:

CC#16 Historic Makeover by Jaeger Guitars

@LesPast: yes man! Watching your makeover closely was the final push I needed! Back at the time I didn't have the perfect guitar fo the occasion (you don't want to spend that kind of money if it doesn't bond with you 100%), but then I was able to find one I felt in love with and that also has a...

CC#16 Historic Makeover by Jaeger Guitars

@LesPauli: I'm having a makeover done on a R9. Florian has just finished gluing back the neck, with the Brazilian fretboard and pressing in the longer bushings for the stop tailpiece ;) I believe it will be starting grain filling and finishing in the next few days. The process itself is...

CC#16 Historic Makeover by Jaeger Guitars

I don't know how I missed this thread, but after discovering it, I've been spending the last hour reading compulsively. The guitar is turning out amazing and I'm eager to se how the aging process develops :) I will be following closely, since my guitar is at Florian's workshop too and going...

R9 Upgrade with Vintage Parts (pic heavy)

It's true what they say. Every dark cloud has a silver lining! Congrats for the guitar and the changes! It was looking amazing even before, but now you have transformed it into something else. I have to admit I went pretty much the same route with my les paul as well, sourcing vintage pickups...

Is this a genuine Gibson Les Paul?

Judging from the headstock inlay, the serial number/made in usa stamp, the pickup rings as well as the tuners, it looks like a Chinese fake to me. Pictures of the control cavities and electronics would help.

Source for M-69 tall pickup ring screws?

Crazyparts germany has them: https://www.crazyparts.de/area59-parts-for-gibson/hardware-aged/agedm69-burst-pickup-mounting-ring-screws-nickel.php But I guess you are based in the US, so probably you prefer to source them locally. Cheers

    Finally decided (Bavarian content)

How did I miss the update of this thread? :wow: Glad to read you are happy with the end result and that feeling and sound have improved without changing the character of the guitar. Now we miss just two things: to hear her and to see proper pictures :) The journey through the makeover has been...
