My 2014 LP Trad in storage.

I've always found that the best way to really appreciate a guitar is to sell it. Pretty much as soon as you drop it off at UPS/USPS/Fedex, you will have a flood of appreciation for it. :-P

Advice please on selling 71 LP deluxe

It depends. On a guitar like that, you aren't likely to get a premium for the "upgraded" pups - though they might persuade an otherwise hesitant buyer. Personally, I'd leave them in and sell with the originals in the case, because they might quicken the process. But if you are looking to...

    1969 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop

I dont see that I can edit the original listing. It weighs a small amount more than 9 lbs even but less than 9lbs 1oz. I measured with a postal scale many times and had readings that varied by around .5 oz, between 9lbs .3oz and 9 lbs .8oz.

    1969 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop

I bought this 4ish years ago from Vintage Correct Parts in Chicago. I have so little play time since I bought it (We've had 3 kids in those 4 years), I'll just use the photos from that listing. Nothing has changed. Listing prices for these seem to be all over the place and I'm so far out...

Which guitar shops should I visit in Manhattan?

Carmine Street Guitars in the West Village. Rick Kelly is not only a master luthier, but easily the most wonderful host. I could go on and on, but I won't because I dont want to sound like an advertisement. You wont find even 1% of the inventory of any of the other shops (and I've even walked...

    Gibson Sues Funko POP Figures

Wow, it seems unanimous that Gibson is the bad guy here?!? Gibson has a trademark - their trademark portfolio is easily their most important and valuable asset. I 100% guarantee that Gibson approached this company with a cease and desist letter and offered a license at the going rate - the...
