Looks at least in decent condition with a nice looking top. Not sure what the process (or possibility) of getting a replacement COA. I assume it can't happen. A few more bumps and bruises than I'd like. How much in general does the lack of...
Nice looking. Don't suppose it's one of those with an 1960 neck measurements ? Don't laugh, I didn't think there was such a thing but just saw one on Reverb. Looking for a slim neck but this does look nice.
I've got to look and see if any of these buy Japan services can purchase from stores. Most look oriented towards specific sites like Amazon, Yahoo Auctions, Rakuten. For some reason, the best deals like the barely used models aren't listed.
@MCT were the cost estimates accurate ? Wondering if a guitar box somehow takes it well above their estimated cost due to size ? Any idea if they can purchase stuff from digitmart.net or right from the music store slite like kurosawagakki.com ? For some reason, their used guitars aren't on yahoo.
@Moreless The Les Paul's around $2k I've found that are closest to what I was looking for were the Classic's and were often near 10lbs. Maybe I should just keep my eyes out for a well priced historic. I'd had a Musicians Friend version with Zebra's a few years back and foolishly sold it.
Yeah, it may be priced too high. I found a promising looking LS196 used but due to CITES rosewood export restrictions, many shops won't ship. LS-196 Used Anyone know a good middleman shipping service ? I've seen this exact guitar on eBay LS-196 but marked up quite a bit.
I'm just starting to learn about Tokai's so bear with me. I've seen a few LS-196 models for sale used around $1500. It seems like a good spec. Says it has jumbo frets which I'd prefer to vintage Les Paul sized. How do the new ones compare to the late 70's early 80's models, say an LS80 like...
I looked and Reverb had sold a 50th Anniversary previously for 2850 although I wasn't as excited about it's top. The seller's description is a bit vague ("other than a few marks"). I did find a few details on Gibson's site but it was mostly micro-details of knobs, neck joint transition...
Need help evaluating this one. I like the burst part and it's not priced tons higher than your typical R0 (I'm regretting selling my plaintop R0). But there are so many special releases of Les Paul's I get lost quickly. Not sure what a Gold COA means. I'm told the 2014's and later had some...
Actually found two in Reverb.com
This one is one digit off my old one. Now that I see the gorgeous Sunset finish above I'm not sure I can go back to Orange. Besides the one below is $800 higher than I sold mine.
Seems like a great price for a CS Journeyman. Only issue I can see are the smaller 6150 frets but otherwise seems relatively underpriced.
Everything look right ? It's been years since I bought a nice one. Need to refresh on the right questions to ask. I know these often change hands often. I'd probably try to put the original parts back on. Guess that wouldn't be that difficult.
Was writing about your R0. Any play or finish wear on it ? Any other work or mods on it besides the the bridge and tail piece ? Anything else you can tell me about it ? I had a 60 VOS a few years back I wish I'd kept.
