Putting P90's in a 2016 Les Paul Standard?

Indeed they do. Can't complain about the price. Will consider them.

Putting P90's in a 2016 Les Paul Standard?

Thanks for all the great replies. Will start digging into the options.

Putting P90's in a 2016 Les Paul Standard?

I have a 2016 Les Paul Standard. I have three LP's, but none with P90's, and I'm thinking this might be the right guitar to try them in. I trust one would have to re-route the body to put in a true soapbar P90, so I'm wondering what other options there are. Can anyone here recommend a P90 that...

Non-invasive tremolo units for Les Paul besides Bigsby?

The guitar I'm considering for tremolo is a worn "player's" LPS, 2000, with a repaired headstock, so two small screw holes wouldn't matter too much, but I appreciate the heads up.

Non-invasive tremolo units for Les Paul besides Bigsby?

Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm leaning FRX, mainly because I want a trem that will go very deep, but I'll consider all options.

Non-invasive tremolo units for Les Paul besides Bigsby?

Are there any good aftermarket tremolo units that behave more like Floyd Rose or Kahler tremolo's, e.g., deep dive bombs with full bar depression? I had a Bigsby B5 on my 2000 LPS, but it just didn't do what I wanted, which was more extreme bends, so I took it off. A quick google search turned...

    Gretch vs 50's wiring?

I have a 2014 LPS Light, and the previous owner, who I know casually, changed the wiring to Gretch. Of course the Light's came with a switch for something instead of two tone pots, so I can understand the reason to rewire. I asked what advantages Gretch wiring had, and he cited the fact that if...

Can't find Burstbucker 1 or 2 at Gibson's website. Are they discontinued?

Thanks for the reply and the link, but it's still strange that they wouldn't be listed at the Gibson website. It's not impossible for Gibson to have discontinued them and for Sweetwater to have stock remaining. If Gibson still make them, one would think they'd be on the website.

Can't find Burstbucker 1 or 2 at Gibson's website. Are they discontinued?

I have BB1 and 2 in my 2014 LPS Light, and really like them. I'd like to put a set in my 2000 LPS (which has Dimarzio DP195's right now), but I don't see a listing for them at Gibson's website. I see others like 57 Classic, 498T, etc., but no BB's. I'd call Gibson, but they're closed now. Anyone...

A/B comparison of Blackstar ID:Core Beam 2X3 to Yamaha THR10?

I have a number of good tube amps, but my daily driver is a Blackstar ID:Core Beam 10. Looks like a little lunch box, but the sound is terrific for bedroom levels. I had a chance to try the Yamaha THR10 ii (2nd generation) the other day and was really impressed, although admittedly, I didn't...

What locking tuners for 2003 SG?

I ordered these about a week ago, although they haven't arrived yet. Reviews are good. The cost from this seller was less than any retailer I scouted. There are two styles, one with press fit collars for 11/32" hole, and screw in for 25/64" hole. My 2014 Les Paul Standard is the latter, and so...

Question for Universal Audio Ox owners

Thanks. I do have a Focusrite Saffire 6 USB audio interface, so perhaps that can get the guitar into the DAW (I have Reaper) to then take advantage of Two Notes amp and cab simulators. I'll send the question to Two Notes. I know there's amazing technology out there today, but it's more a...

Question for Universal Audio Ox owners

Very interesting. So now I'm wondering if I even need the Ox. Do you think the Two Notes Wall of Sound ca do everything in-the-box, i.e., without the need for a load box? I've struggled to capture a great guitar sound and I'm looking for ideas.

Question for Universal Audio Ox owners

I know the Ox can act as an attenuator, and I know it has cabinet simulators, but does it have any amp simulators? In other words, could you run it direct into a DAW without using an external amp?

Vintage style locking tuners-Gotoh vs Kluson

I think Gotoh makes great products, but I decided to go with Kluson Revolution locking for a few minor reasons. With respect to the relatively small difference in weight, I just learned I can also get metal knobs to replace the plastic ones, and this will add even more mass, if necessary. I'll...

Vintage style locking tuners-Gotoh vs Kluson

I called Kluson today and asked for a weight on the locking tuners. They said 35.8 grams. I measured a traditional Kluson tuner and got 31.1 grams. That's a difference of 4.7 grams, which was much less than I was expecting.

Vintage style locking tuners-Gotoh vs Kluson

Did you install the locking tuners, or were they on the guitar when you bought it? If you installed them, did you happen to make any note of the weight difference between the original and locking? The locking tuners look like they should be heavier. I emailed Kluson to ask the weight, but I...

Vintage style locking tuners-Gotoh vs Kluson

Thanks for all the replies. Yes, I realize tuning issues are usually caused by the nut, but I've still developed an appreciation for locking tuners. They also facilitate aligning the knob in the best position for ease of tuning. I find tuning easiest when the knob is in a certain orientation...
