Did you guys manage to successfully record using the spark in to studio 1?
I finally found a bit of time to unbox the spark, update the firmware, install studio 1 but.... wasn't clear on how to get a "signal". I think I had the spark set as source, hit record and strummed some chords but no...
I think mine is finally on the way (assuming the Fedex notice of something picked up in the City of Industry CA is my amp as I'm not expecting any other shipments) :)
Fedex says expected to be here on Tuesday - hopefully the brokerage fees don't overwhelm me.
I thought I recall Lt mentioning a blown tranny not too long ago? (Not in one of the numerous trans threads)
Didn't it throw a rod last year as well?
Drivetrain is all new now... should he good for at least a few months :)
I tend to go down a similar path... throwing good money after bad...
Success... @dave b nailed it.
Replaced the intake seals and it is good to go - vacuum leak appears to have been the issue.
Just waiting on a new battery and some clear skies now.
Thanks all for your insights. Dave, if you ever make it out west, I owe you dinner and drinks :cheers2:
I did run it long enough to be sure I was on the fresh gas, but it was still having issues. Generally haven't bothered with fuel stabilizers but I do generally try to have the tank topped up before storage. Last fall I didn't get the chance to top up and it sat with about an eighth of a tank...
Picked up a set of plugs at Crappy Tire tonight (don't know why that place is still in business, used to be the go to place and now I dread it almost as much as I dread Walmart)
The slide not moving, I suspect that may have been related to the fact I had the choke partially engaged -...
Well - pulled the carb (much quicker the second time around) - stripped it all down and rechecked the bits I assumed I messed up but... all looked good and within spec.
- Float level - check
- Low speed jet - clean and clear
- Main Jet - clean and clear
- slide seems to work as it is...
First time I've fired it up since last fall and... it isn't running well enough that I'd dare actually taking it out on the road.
So, having said that... it will idle with no choke once it warms up but:
- blip the throttle and it pukes and sort of backfires
- slowly increase the throttle...
Appreciate the advice... didn't consider the float. I think I can do that without removing the carb. (dealer had messed up one of the float bowl screws so I also replaced those with allen head bolts - so easy to access)
But... slide doesn't budge when I give it some throttle - It moves freely...
I think dave b is on the right track.
The customer (me) shouldn't have fucked with it :)
Completely drained the fuel - went with fresh stuff and ran it for quite a while (neighbors must love me).
It will idle without the choke but giving it any throttle it pukes, sputters and will die unless...
