The Middle Position of the switch is now home base

I'm happy about it at least. I got my pickups sonically inline finally after years of other equipment experiments. I've hated the middle pos as useless since the 90's when I got my first lp. It was just a big muddy mess and I never used it. That's because of how I adjusted the pickups. Until...

Stupid Vintage Rats are around $200 so I got a MS-50G instead

I'm not interested in the Patch capability of the MS-50G. I can have patches on my G3. I got this little zoom unit to use as a single stompbox with a single pedal in a patch. I've used the Squeak effect on my G3 for months now after selling my white-face reissue rat. I got to looking around to...

    BBE Tremor slower than stock?

Hey I've got a Temor pedal the other day. It is a great pedal with the Speed 1 and Speed 2 dedicated settings. However, it won't go as slow as I want. I have a BOSS PN-2 and it's clone, the Behringer TP300. Both pedals can go very slow with long waves. Is there a mod to the Tremor pedal to let...

I beat the Wah Retension Rocker Conumdrum

This is here because there are many more people that post in the main Tone Freaks forum and way fewer posts in the Pedals subforum. I want to reach the most viewers. You don't get that in the Pedals subforum. I've been trying to get my Thomas Organ Cry Baby pedal to keep its Rocker where ever I...

I beat the Wah Retension Rocker Conumdrum

I've been trying to get my Thomas Organ Cry Baby pedal to keep its Rocker where ever I leave it. Before, the rocker would automatically drop to the toe-down position when my foot wasn't on it. So let's tighten up those Rockers, rockers! It seems that most questions asked about retensioning the...

Thomas Organ Cry Baby attach top to bottom

I have a Crybaby from the 60s-70s and I wanted to change the tension of the rocker to make it a little more stiff and easy to leavein one position and stay there. I took the set-pin out of the treadle and now I can't get the pin back in. So I have a pedal in two pieces now. Has anyone fixed...

    Ground buzz between 2 guitars

I have a 98 R7 goldtop that has the Classic 57 combo. I have a 2004 V with the 496/500 combo. I have painted the insides of both with conductive paint. I have a dimmer in my room. The LP is silent even when pushed up against the dimmer. The V on the other hand buzzes until I touch a string, the...

Gibson ABR1 Bridge Saddles Could Be The Problem

I don't like Nashville bridges and replace them with ABR1 bridges on every Gibson guitar I get. My historic GT of course already had one. Gibson parts tolerances are all over the place as has been discussed many times. Here are two ways that Gibson F's up your ABR1 before it even gets to you...
