Looking for a Set of P90s

Anyone tried the Rio Grande stuff? Bluesbar or jazz bar? I have their genuine Texas and like it a lot. Just seems like 12.5 K is a bit much for a P90.

Looking for a Set of P90s

yeah the noiseless thing is not a must. Just interesting that there are options. I am now going between Tyson and Fralin since they both use Alnico options I like. I have had 50s P90s and they were nothing short of excellent.

    FS: 1964/65 Gibson GA-30RVT Invader

Hi there, I have a Crestline series Gibson GA-30RVT Invader amp in excellent condition. Comes with the original footswitch, original speakers, a new custom made to fit cover, three prong cable, and a clean bill of health. It does have a newer reverb transformer (see pics). Sounds great but I...

Looking for a Set of P90s

I just came across the mojotone ones too which are somehow hum-free also and sounded pretty decent in the demos.

Looking for a Set of P90s

I actually had some Tyson Tones before on a Firebird III, but since I traded the guitar fairly quickly and it was some years ago, I don't recall them. It was a 60 bridge position and a 57 neck. Totally forgot about these :D

Looking for a Set of P90s

Yeah I have had regular P90 loaded guitars before and loved them just as humming as they were. I only added the possibility of hum-free because I came across Fralin's stuff. I did of course start looking for 60's Gibson P90s but at almost 500 bucks for a single one, I don't think it is worth the...

Looking for a Set of P90s

Hi all, I just picked up a 64 SG Special, but the original P90s are gone. The guitar now has some DiMarzio replacements, and whereas they are VERY quiet and sound pretty great clean, whenever I used overdrive, using several amps/pedals combinations, it is always mushy and the low end farts out...

FSOT: 1956 Les Paul Special (NOT Reissue)

No worries. I know people forget forum rules all the time. I got a lead on a Firebird locally that I am taking for a spin tomorrow. Wish me luck!

FSOT: 1956 Les Paul Special (NOT Reissue)

Wow, small world. Thank you for the info! It has been tough deciding what to let go of, but I have a 54/58 Les Paul from 1972 that I really have bonded with. Could get more for the 54/58 but I think this girl is a great player. Probably a fantastic candidate for a conversion. The pickups on this...
