    HAHAHAHa, Resurrection!!!! I put in Doyle Colis (& wirring harness) in my 2014 R-8 & never looked back. Unbelievable touch sensitive and articulate. You think your Custom Buckers are good?? Drop the Doyle Coils in and hear what your lester is supposed to sound like!

    Alnico Gold sounds fantastic in my experience. However, It has the largest magnet & bell housing of any after market speaker out there. Based on it's specs, it won't fit into a Fender Bassbreaker cab.

    Second. The colors have more contrast and the mineral streaks are cool lookin'. There is a myriad of aftermarket pickup choices... Especially if they both feel good in hand & one is not a boat anchor.

    i put these in my 2014 R-8. Honestly, along with Doylle's wiring harness, I didn't know my les paul could sound so good. The Custom buckers seriously can't hold a candle the the Doyle coils. I am satisfied forever for the life of my R-8
