Ideal rate of twist (MLP firearms and shooting thread)

And here's another toy I just picked up...a Sig P210A model. I wasn't crazy about the target grips that it came with, though, and swapped them out for more traditional grips. I absolutely love how this gun shoots. It's probably my new favorite. Frank

Ideal rate of twist (MLP firearms and shooting thread)

FYI, you can now buy just the P365 SAS slide assembly, which includes the above sights, directly from Sig (although temporarily sold out). It will fit on any of the 365 models, including the standard, XL and MS models. I ordered one, myself, earlier today to try on my MS model. Here's a link...

    To reattach or replace?

Hate to say it, but while there are those out there (like Greg) who could probably repair this properly, it would likely cost you more to do so than the guitar is worth...unless it's a particularly rare, high-end guitar. Likewise with a neck replacement, unless it's something you can do...

    Gibson Historic Tweed Case?

Well, the guy has a price of $502 on it (or best offer), so it's worth a try. Either he thinks it's a fair deal or he doesn't. You won't know until you try. Good luck! Frank

    Gibson Historic Tweed Case?

These were produced in '03, I believe, but I don't know if they were used for any specific model. At the same time, they had another version of this case with a light blue interior, that was used exclusively for the MM Stinger series. Those Stinger cases I've seen sell for as much as $1K...

OFFICIAL MEET: 2019 Fall Philly Guitar Show & MEMBERS MEET Nov. 2 & 3, 2019

Sorry you couldn't make it there, Scott! You were missed! I'm not sure which guitar you're referring to. If you mean the one with all the pics spread out on the table, that one isn't mine. As noted above, that one was for sale by Kaz, at Hyper Guitars in Japan, and was in his booth. Frank

That guitar was a '54 replica that was built by someone somewhere over the pond. Frank

OFFICIAL MEET: 2019 Fall Philly Guitar Show & MEMBERS MEET Nov. 2 & 3, 2019

It was great meeting you, Bill! The guitar you played was the first one. The second one wasn't in our booth; that was one that was for sale elsewhere at the show (for sale by Kaz, at Hyper Guitars, in Japan). Frank

Time to Order the Serial Number Stamp Kits...Please Read!

I already answered Chris via email, but in case anyone else is wondering, no, I no longer have any of these stamp kits available for sale. My supplier retired from the business a couple of years ago, and I wasn't able to find anyone else who was willing or able to do similar kits. However, I...

    Who is crazier

I didn't watch the whole video, but I think doing anything this drastic, at such a young age, is criminal. Especially considering: https://www.news-medical.net/news/20191007/Hundreds-of-trans-people-regret-changing-their-gender-says-trans-activist.aspx Frank

OFFICIAL MEET: 2019 Fall Philly Guitar Show & MEMBERS MEET Nov. 2 & 3, 2019

Yes, Scott, I'll probably be bringing about a dozen guitars...the usual stuff. Some vintage, some replicas, some Historics. Probably nothing you haven't already seen, since everything I've bought over the past couple of years have been project guitars that are still in the works. Hope to see...

    Plain Top Question

Here's my vintage '59 'burst, which, as you can see, has plenty of (small) mineral deposits and streaks. Although when new, 60 years ago, many of those "imperfections" would have been hidden by a deep red burst. So yes, the one you posted above certainly could have come from the Gibson factory...
