So the 2023 Gibson Reissues are coming out…any change or updates?

I have SD Skinner Burst pickups with A IIIs in my 2014 R8. Love them. Much better sounding then the original Custom Buckers.

    NGD - 2016 Les Paul R8

Mmmm. Ok. Personally I dislike reflectors. Speed knobs might be better but reflectors look tacky to me.

    $10K Chibson on the 'Verb

When I first looked at this photo, I thought it was a miniature model and the two legs/knees were fingers. It's late and I have a bad migraine.

Nice guitar but why are you putting reflectors on it?

    Custombuckers 2020 vs Custombuckers 2018

I have a 2014 R8. The Custombuckers in it were very thin and bright. I swapped them for a pair of Seymour Duncan Skinner Burst pickups. Unpotted but but much smoother and better sounding.

    R8 disaster!

Why hide glue? It's not structural. Titebond is more than sufficient. Clamps, yes, but what is the staple gun for? I'd just use a black magic marker to touch it up. :hmm:

Is this the factory wiring for a 58 reissue?

Wiring is stock complete with fake Bumblebees.

Do R8’s and R9’s sound the same?

I have an R8 that I love. I have zero interest in an R9. If you want a guitar that will definitely sound different from your R8, do what I did and buy a Strat.

Thanks. The picture makes it look worse than it actually is. There is about 1/4" between the tolex and the tip of the power tubes and they only overhang the tolex by a small amount. I've had the amp on for well over an hour with no problems.
