Personal Attacks are unnecessary: But You did give me a slight Smile.
I'm quite surprised their are so many Girlie Men here that need to save a few pounds at the Expense of Tone.

Thanks for Sharing your Wealth of Guitar Knowledge(a few Years worth).
Now Go Chamber me a Nice new BMW M5 for a little Weight Savings...
(Only with "Strategically Placed Holes" though) :laugh2:
25,000 Posts and that's All You Got?? :hmm:
Funny you Have Pics of Dickie Betts and Jimmy Page(I love them Both Dearly)--Do they have additional Holes Drilled in their Solid Body Les Paul's?? :slash:
Have one since 2004--Hated it all these years for it's Balance-Neck to Body-But been Playing it for the Past few Months and Loving it good because of Flawless Frets/Fretboard/bound neck and it Freakin SCREAMS!!! :slash:
Glad I haven't sold it in previous 10 Years of Ownership.
Jimmy Page didn't Need No Stinkin Chambering and Neither Do I!! :slash:
ETA: I ain't No Mary Ford either!!!
ETA#2: I Love Gibson and for Selfish Reasons would like if I had a greater Variety of Les Paul Choices w/o Holes drilled in them.
They should give People a Choice--Besides having to buy a Historic.
There are other Options as well to reduce Weight like Reduce thickness by a half inch, etc.
Necessary Routing for Pickups, Pots and other Mandatory Hardware is one thing--Putting unneeded holes in a Solidbody guitar is Idiotic.
The Resonance is all wrong!!
