Your statement is so stupid that i really feel sorry for myself in losing time in answering it.
But i guess you're right, you have ears of gold, you know what serious music is; after all you seem to be american. The country of good taste as ever body knows.
Pontificate in joy my friend.
I would go for the PAT, if in a hurry. Otherwise, i'd save for PAFs. Tried a lot of replicas, now have PAFs in a 335 and another set in a Les Paul; it's just day and night. The only issue is that you can also get -it can happen- PAF's that are a bit dead...Otherwise, nothing comes close to them.
One of the most boring players ever...even in the solo section of brothers in arms, he can be so slow...you just want to sleep. But ok, he's not the only one, an actual famous blues-player can just overbore you with his licks.
Thanks guys for all you input. The 58 could maybe be a solution, although i think the price is a bit high since it has issues (non original pickups). The Dutch burst is nice but also to expensive for a what it is. The search is still going on.
Hello everybody,
Not sure that it the right place on the forum but i try; i'm looking to buy a burst, with as less issues as possible. PM message please if you have any input. Thanks a lot.
Well, when you see that the KOssof burst didn't sell for 200'000, it can make you wonder about actual burst prices. Kossof's burst is told to be one of the best sounding, has nice flame and the neck issue is not an issue since it belonged to KOssof himself.
I suspect that if people wanted to...
Hy eveybody, want to have your thoughts about the es 335/ vintage burst market evolution. Both made in almost the same number between 58-60 and i see the prices of es 335 quite going up lately and the burst prices more in under usd 200000 range. What do you think about it?
Hello,
Had an a/s and and aged. The profile of the necks are the best ever. But, Finish and soundwise, i didn't like it at all. The pickups are harsh and thin sounding, not lively at all, the worst sounding guitar i ever had in the a/s series and CC series. Not to mention the fretboard with was...
TH could become collectable if Gibson suddenly decides to stop making les pauls and has this idea "Les PAuls will be replaced by a guitar called SG for solid body guitar. Available in cherry red with sideway vibrola vibrato." Otherwise, there is no way any actual guitar coming out of the custom...
I see a lot of threads discussing the accuracy of the new Les Pauls versus CC, sigs etc...Lots of threads about makeovers and people that want their Les Paul done the closest possible to old ones BUT, my question is simple, how many of you here have already had a vintage burst in their hands and...
I don't really enjoy the way people here bark just because someone thinks different. I don't like the way you bark, i'm sure i' wouldn't enjoy the way you would jerk of when seeing the pictures. Have a nice day in your hate-frustration-Lol posts. I'm out of here. Bye, bye.
I don't like posting pictures of it. When i bought it a few years ago, i thought i'd maybe make a collector's choice out of it but at the end, once you get it, you prefer keep it unseen. I really think that making it a collector's choice, is not a good idea. It make people think that the copy is...
Thank you all for respecting the point of view of someone who just has a another approach when buying a burst. There is no disrespect or anything like this in my post. All i was trying to say is that you have the right to be a perfectionist and be in an "all or nothing" perspective. I'm just way...
That burst doesn't exist. The reason is simple, for 90k you cannot get a burst. And that's precisely that Lilith, is no burst for me. good luck for reselling it one day. If you look at reverb, g base etc; the hardest guitar to sell are the modified ones.
BUT; if you're intent is just to...
I was just expressing a personal preference. Sorry, but i though that, that's what this thread was for. If you're just waiting for people pushing you to buy then open a thread named "90K i a lot of money, but i want that guitar, i'm scared, i want it, give me so assurance so i pull the trigger...
i don't want to spoil that enthusiasm but i must say i wouldn't go for it. Mainly for resale reasons. It has to much changed parts to be considered as a burst like one could imagine when starring at the pictures in BOTB. That's a lot fo money and if i were to put so much money in a guitar i...
