That dude sucks and I hope he loses his shirt. At 4k you are pretty close to a legit silverburst custom.
You can check sold listings. 11 sold for more than retail last time I checked. $2000 was the top and the lowest was $1600, but it also won't say if they accepted an offer it only shows the...
Don't get obsessed with wood types before actually trying them. Back in the day pao Ferro was a premium fretboard material and the only guitar I'd ever seen with it was the SRV strat.
All of a sudden fender can't get rosewood and pao Ferro isn't the premium wood it was once. Just because it...
Yeah that makes sense too.
I guess for me if I had the original pickups I would put those back in and sell it that way, then sell the other pickups separately.
If I have the stock parts I put it back that way. It's always easier to sell stuff in stock form
My favorite ones are "do you have the original pickups?"
If they arent listed it doesn't matter if I have them or not they aren't included in the sale.
And once had more than one person ask what color a guitar used to be.
I always ask about the weight and when I sell I always put the weight, as well as any other specs 50's or 60s so on and so forth. No matter how exhaustive you are in your description someone will find something you didn't cover to ask to make it a pain in the ass for you.
Then they tell you...

Yeah this is crazy. Have you actually spoken with the FedEx agent handling the shipment?
Sometimes they can be helpful, they should at least be able to get you the right forms.
I've used FedEx a bunch and have never had that problem before. They shouldn't even be looking at this stuff anymore. My guess is the high value caused them to flag it.
I would do
Separate shipments and make sure From Japan used the correct harmonized code for electric guitars, they just guess...

Looking for $800...
I'm not sure. The only other customs I've had were Edwards and an FGN. I liked this one better than those, whether or not it was the heritage wood that made the difference. Who knows?
Ha!
Im glad you said that, free shipping was a mistake.
I had it listed awhile ago for 950 and it didn't move.
So I guess the crack is getting passed around for sure.
