What the $#&*... White specks ???

I dont think blush remover would have worked. Its been almost a month since spraying. And I had to remove, I'm guessing, about two or three coats.

What the $#&*... White specks ???

Gator, as soon as you mentioned 'gas', I searched here again for that and sure enough... found lots of info about temp differences, thickness of application, too many layers too soon. Must have been one of those; I threw on some Live Thin Lizzy and went to town removing a couple of layers. Gone...

So I went to knock down for final spray and found these white speckles around headstock logo... I sure someone here knows what it is and how to fix? If I have to go to wood and respray, so be it. But if there is another way???

    MLP Bartlett Build

Here is mine. Not done obviously. Just taking a SC sun bath at the moment. This is about 1/2 hour in. I just checked it after 2 hours and its lost Tons of the red already... Its the Moslers red. You wont be disappointed in Toms Kit you ordered or his customer service. 110% satisfied... Edit...

    Bartlett 1959 Les Paul kit

Not quite... the neck comes BIG. Tom intentionally sends them this way so you can shape it to your personal size. The tenon is oversized also. You will need to bring it down to get your tight fit. Check out Tom's (Alk-3) build sticky. He is doing one of his kits right now though almost finished...

Wow, I just now read this and all I have to say is... WOW! I have built several fender style replicas and when I decided to take on a les paul replica, I knew it was not going to be easy nor fit together like puzzle pieces. My luthier, from this forum, has been totally upfront stating that it...

    MLP Bartlett Build

Hi Tom, couple of questions regarding your headstock inlay process... First, You said you used fish glue? would the hot hide also be vintage correct? and second, what process do you use for painting the headstock after the inlay is installed? I think Mr. Rist uses a second inlay to cover...

    Lowcountry Luthier????

My father just passed down an old fender acoustic that I actually first learned to play on. Its cool to finally own it but boy does it need some work. I am hoping someone has a good recommendation for a luthier in the Charleston area or somewhat close? I have been searching the luthier posts...

    Ground Wire Solution??

Hey guys, I was hoping to source my 18 awg ground wire locally instead of online to save on shipping. I can either buy a huge spool of the stuff but then found a bead store that sells the correct 18awg pretinned copper in little chunks. However its labeled as Artistic Wire. Anyone know if there...
