    Pearly gates kinda weak?!?

I checked with Seymour Duncan and they said the output should be a little weaker than the BB Pros. I doubled checked the wiring and it's correct. I put the BBPro back and the output is definitely higher. Mostly I get more break up from the amp at the same settings. Maybe it IS a pup...

    Pearly gates kinda weak?!?

I installed a set of Pearly Gates in my 2004 LP Standard (which came with BB Pros). I found the PG's to be weak in comparison. Less sustain. Anybody else experience the same? Rob

    Les Paul Standard Wiring Question

The pups are fine. It's the wire that goes to the tailpiece that's missing. So when you touch the strings nothing happens. When you touch the pups you hear a noise reduction. The way to fix this would be to pull the tailpiece bushing to reinstal the ground wire :-O

    Les Paul Standard Wiring Question

The problem is that the ground wire from the tailpiece is not there!!! They just screwed the ground wire from the pot to the side of the cavity.

    Les Paul Standard Wiring Question

So why is there a wire screwed to the inside of the cavity? I have never seen that before. Is this how the LP's are supposed to be? From the sticky the ground wire SHOULD go to the tailpiece. Thanks, Rob

    Les Paul Standard Wiring Question

It is used. It's a 2004. When I opened the control cavity there was a lock washer loose in there which tells me someone has done some work on the pots. Two of the pot knobs are somewhat loose, someone took them off and put them back on a few times. The other thing is if you look at the...

    Les Paul Standard Wiring Question

Hi all - I just bought a used LP Standard. I was going over the guitar and noticed something in the wiring that seems a bit odd. The ground wire that I would think is supposed to go to the bridge is a piece of rigid steel wire and it's actually screwed to the inside of the cavity. I checked...
