    First Gibson

I’m proud of it. She’s definitely a fixer upper, but it plays wonderfully even with the collapsed bridge.

    First Gibson

Yessir yessir. It kind of has that problem now. I love the old school 70s harmonica bridges without bridge slant, but truthfully as long as the studs are placed correctly, saddle adjustable ISNT needed extensively. I love a beat up old guitar, but like you said, the strings touching kind of rubs...

    First Gibson

First Gibson. 2004 sg standard. Added a varitone switch, custom engraved truss rod cover for my late grandmother and her father we call pawpaw, a custom engraved es style custom made plate with the guitars name. Plan on replacing the crown inlay with a one of a kind custom Pearl. Only one ever...

    Horrible factory Floyd rose route…

Yea I’d wondered about epoxy filling for missing wood as well. I would probably test it on an inconspicuous project before attempting on this. Oh and lol yea it looks like it right. I thought myself this was particle wood too looking in the studs. But no. It’s just poorly handled mahogany.

    Horrible factory Floyd rose route…

My local tech just packed up and moved to Minnesota. Closest one to me now is several hours. I really wish I would’ve caught him tho. He did quality work for next to nothing in price. But then the guy turns around and makes 10k custom built guitars. He’s fair. High price for the rich and...

    Horrible factory Floyd rose route…

Yea that’s what I was worried about. The routing is factory straight from Dean can you believe that?! Appreciate it man thanks!

    Horrible factory Floyd rose route…

Ok first off, just to clarify, this thread isn’t another way for me to be an experimental demon or anything. This is an actual problem that I need to fix. My 2007 Dean dimebag razor v Floyd routing is just down right god awful. Here are the crime scene photos. Yea so there it is...

Epiphone 1960 Tribute Plus - Nickel or Chrome - Help!

I would personally either buy new pickups, (unless you want to keep stock). From dragon fire pickups website. They are pretty good. I’ve heard comparisons from dragonfire pickups to other big name and they are so similar that the 200$+ price tag is no contest. And buy raw nickel covers separate...

    Light weight guitars

Oh for sure man, don’t get me wrong I love my heavy guitars. One in particular feels like a sponge that’s been soaked in water. But on the other hand, I never said it didn’t make me feel like I had shoulder surgery after 10 minutes I’m just a weirdo

I wanna see yalls latest edition to your guitar collection!

Well since I’ve been saving, I’ve been able to buy two guitars for myself, and am working on saving up for my first usa guitar, a late 90s strat. Share some photos of yalls newest guitars!!! I’ll include mine as well.

Tune-o-matic Bridge for Wraparound Stud Spacing

I’ve wondered the same thing myself if the tension would be enough. However, numerous Gibson vintage models back in the good days came factory with a wraparound style bridge that was fitted with a bigsby as well as numerous other tremolos. So the way I see it at least, it should be fine if you...

Routing an acoustic bridge for a wooden tune o matic?

Haha yes sir. Will do. I enjoy your humor as always man. Really I do appreciate it. It’s not a thread without the classic CB. Take care brother

Routing an acoustic bridge for a wooden tune o matic?

Yea it definitely takes a heap of time. My great grandad also has an old j-50 I think? One of the smaller body j models and it doesn’t have a tune o matic, but just a flat classical style metal saddle. Just for adjusting action. And honestly it feels exactly like the most comfortable cowboy...

Routing an acoustic bridge for a wooden tune o matic?

Ok now out of the past three years of me making threads about this, you are the only one to really give me a complete reason as to not do this to an acoustic. Literally any other person has just pretty much shamed me for even having the idea of ruining an acoustic, which personally I do...

Routing an acoustic bridge for a wooden tune o matic?

Nice. I’ve always liked the idea of making a nut and saddle from scratch. I’d need to buy a handful of blanks to practice that first though.
