Epiphone CTS pots...any reason to change them?

With the 59’s the pots are matched; or at least supposed to be. The 3 I’ve rewired, the pots were within 10% tolerance, the one 2020 Standard was 20%. I’d suggest your tech test them and if they are within 10% might as well swap em. Other than that, you’d have more reason to swap your Jack...

    Would you consider another Epiphone?

I’d buy a 56 in a heartbeat. It’d go well with my 55. I am loaded up on LP’s but I am looking for an acoustic. I found an Epiphone Dove locally and debating between that and a Yamaha TransAcoustic. I also have the JB Lazarus. The quality of these two and feel of both are great.

Epiphone Joe Bonamassa 'Lazarus' 59 Les Paul Standard Owners Thread

In all honesty, part of buying or getting a new guitar SHOULD be a professional set up, regardless what it says on the headstock.

Dude!!! Congrats!!! It’s like my top man, not a super flame, but more than enough for me. If it’s a beige based rattle, check that retaining wire on the bridge, and once you give the frets a once over, it’ll feel like a dream!
