    Personally I'm not sure how deep should i ream, you mention when i see the edge flush with the headstock, i should stop. how do i know when that happens, never seen the reamer in person. In which direction would you turn? And what's the purpose of tightening it? Is it a must?

    So if you got your handle from sears, what did all the other guys use? So you're saying just turn it clockwise all the way in since it is safe? The link provided here from stewmac is the right bit right? Yeap on a gibson r8. Just using a screwdriver for this? Sounds scary:eek2:

    Sorry not to confuse you, when i meant historic, i meant a 2012 custom shop reissue:D I just love the looks of a grover kidney tuner on a lp. A little off topic, anyone know where i can get slightly aged gold grover kidney tuners?

    The lower the grade the higher the coarsing right? Why do you want to start with 12000 first to polish it out? Why not 8000? The micro mesh you talking about. Are they the same sold by stewmac?

    Sounds like electrolysis. What kind of wire do you have in mind? When you mentioned moving the wire all over the bridge, it does have to be in the salted water right? Sounds a little non-natural to me. "Removing the nickle", all i want is to make it non-gloss.
