Looking to buy another ‘59 or ‘60 Les Paul. Is there anything I need to looking out for or be aware of in 2022? There has been several Gibson issues over the years but it gets so confusing to keep up. I’ve heard of a Murphy Labs finish problems.
Also I think it’s so cool that they have the...
First thing, and maybe the only thing you need, is a pair of studio reference monitors. Buy a set of Focal Alpha 50 monitors, they are $299 each so $600 a pair, but about the best studio reference monitor in that price range. Cheaper I’d go with KRK’s maybe, they sounds pretty good in the mids...
I always leave my Bogner and Friedman amps on all day while I'm in the studio. Which is on average two or three days a week from 9 am to 4 pm, amps on. Never a problem, and actually I think they are much more reliable after they have been on idle and warm for a few hours, a couple of days a week.
Man there's a lot of good things Reverb has brought to the table for manufactures, small builders, and the musician who loves gear, but some of their customer service employye's approach to resolving issues is awful. When I heard back from the custom support person, they never apologized and...
The worst thing about REVERB.COM... A buyer made an offer pretty close to my initial asking price of 4799 two days ago. Messaged the buyer asking location, didn't hear from him. Waited all the way till the last couple minutes before the offer expired and I accepted his offer. BUYER MESSAGES...

Congrat, Let us know how it all turns out. I'm in the same situation, have had my BE100 since 2014 but it's been to Dave's shop for a repair in late 2015 and he did a couple updates but not the 2016 updates, and I'm starting to think they may not be for me. There's been some honesty on Friedman...
There are several demos on Youtube, some aren't a very good comparison but theres a couple guys that have it spot on. The G1265 is more like the classic Greenback (from Celestion site), with similar mids and fits classic rock crunch better, and the H75 is more modern, tighter bigger bass, less...

+3 for the Virtuoso 2-step Cleaner then Polish. The 1st step cleaner is the best thing to get any sticky VOS off the neck, really make the neck smooth and playable. It may take a second cleaning or even third if the nitro finish is softer like factory fresh, but it works the best. The 2nd step...

SOLD Brand new set of ECP Freedom's. Has been sitting in it's box untouched since April of this year.
I paid $305 and shipping when they finally got finished, and I do wish I could use them but have currently found myself laid-off work so I gotta sell them. So how about $250...
YOU SAID YOU'VE PLAY YOUR EL84's HOW LONG? They don't last that long. Dave would tell you that simple JJ EL84's are simply the best in tone and longevity. Then get Ruby HG's, the 12AX7 AC+'s from Ruby or TAD HG whatever, it just means High Grade that they have been tested harder or more tests...
Yea I just read your thread where you mentioned the set you got from Rewind was based on Kossoff tone... well that's actually the kinda tone the Freedom set from ECP is based on and I also have the same amp as you (DSM) so I'm excited to hear how that sound
Just put an order in for the ECP Freedom set. The neck is quite a bit lower wind than the bridge at 7.2K and the bridge is 8.25K. Hopefully they will balance well, and still be nice and bright and still rock. I think I might have left out a few details about what I'm looking for in a humbucker...
