SOLD 2020 New "open box" Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar

Guitar, hard case, and case candy are all included, just as it arrived to me from Sweetwater just over a week ago. I bought the guitar from Sweetwater through my employer’s employee rewards program, that stipulated that I could only make purchases from certain vendors. I bought it to re-sell...

Oh, not another Greco EGF1800 „worth it“ thread?

Found this from the Tokai forum: Post by villager » Tue Apr 24, 2007 8:34 am I have been telling everyone for years that the super reals are long tenon...they called it 'deep neck joint' and it goes UNDER the PU cavity, I saw a broken one once thats how I know for sure... I think the reason...

Oh, not another Greco EGF1800 „worth it“ thread?

I typed “deep”, not “long” tenon neck joint. There is info on this if one digs deep enough. No pun intended. I personally have not deconstructed a neck joint on a Super Real, so I am just restating what has been written elsewhere in other forums. One cannot see a tenon in the neck pick up cavity...

Oh, not another Greco EGF1800 „worth it“ thread?

Lots of cork here. Don’t forget the Super Real deep tenon neck joint construction. That is a truly unique feature in the EGFs. I have owned both Tokai and Greco’s, but never an 1800. I have had really good ones and not so good. The fact that they were not mass produced by high tech machinery is...

Interesting Greco. The Tokai-made Grecos that I have seen do not have a serial number on the headstock. I believe most were made between 1988 in 1992, but I am not positive on those dates. The most certain way to know if it is Tokai made is looking at the pick up routing cavities and the neck...

Need help please. vintage PAF minihumbucker braided wire needs replacing

Just picked up a "Seth Lover" PAF mini humbucker as used in the Silvertone 1446. It appears that the cloth covered inner wire has hardened and has disintegrated (is disintegrating). I cannot pull back the braid to exposed any useful cloth-covered wire. It just crumbles away. I have some...

HÜ Tonelabs York Bl Gold Foil and Seth Lover/Silvertone/Harmony/Gibson Mini Humbuckers

Does anyone have any experience with these pickups? Supposedly the first 50 set of the Gold Foil sold out an NAMM and now both types are on a “pre-order” status with a wait time of two months. I can find little information on either of these pickups from actual buyers/players.

    60s Melody Maker Owners

Picked up a 1965 Epiphone Olympic special. Interesting neck. 1 11/16" nut width with neck thickness just under .800 at first fret and just over 1.000 at the 12th. In contrast, I've got a 1959 Melody Maker with the bigger neck starting at the nut. Didn't think I would like this Epiphone because...

    Phaez Amps [merged]

Just picked up an older Phaez with a clean and an overdrive channel, with no channel switching. Just one guitar input and separate volumes. Hoping someone can help me understand the functionality of Randy's older effects loop that features a single return jack but two send jacks (one labeled "OD...

I just bought a used Rooster with 6v6 power tubes. Go to eBay to see it under sold listings if you want. Based on your posts, you have, or had, an el34 based Rooster. I am curious about the features. No channel switching that I can see. Is there a pull pot or any other interesting features?

FS: Phaez Duophonic Daisycutter/Corona 10-watt with active loop

Very versatile little amp. Currently running an EL34. Will also accept 6V6 or 6L6. I will include a Tungsol 6V6 also. Four 12ax7s. Active effects loop. The Daisycutter channel is based on Marshall JCM800 and the Corona channel on Fender Blackface. I use an A/B box to switch between both...
