    Been awhile

Hi Guys ! I know, been a LONG time since I posted here or anywhere else, just too busy ( I found myself spending WAY too much time at the screen. It just took too my time away from my work), and plenty of you guys seem to jump right in and answer questions FOR me ! I thank you all kindly...

Jim Wagner of WCR playing with the Marshall Tucker Band

To tell ya the truth, as beautiful and as good lookin' and sounding as an LP is, I just cannot play them worth a damn. The single-cut and my short, stubby fingers just cannot seem to get along very well. SGs are another story. Full un-obstructed access all the way up and down. I have a new one I...

Jim Wagner of WCR playing with the Marshall Tucker Band

Thanx for that Dean ! (I heard there was a thread on that here... lol). I still like that blue SG of your's... ;-) I played my own '69 SG Beater with them Thurs. nite. Very honored by those guys to even let me stand next to them, let alone play. I get to do it again on Dec. 30th at the L.A...

    Merry Christmas Happy Holidays

Baaaaa, Humbug.....I just want a vacation..... The kids too have pretty much said they would much rather go somewhere different, than hang around here and go all commercial. So we'll see......maybe I can talk them into checking out some glider ports and clubs........hehhehheh

Custom pickups to RS or not to RS?

That's an either-or question for sure Bro. I decide that same question myself on a daily, if not hourly basis! But I go modern if I want my tone controls completely on their own, 50's if I want them to be more intimate with the volumes. To me the 50's seem to cut mids a...

    GOD'z WAD'z/godwood/goodwoods: WCR

Those are actually now 10k. Upgraded design, up-graded name. Was a typo at first, but it kinda stuck..... I believe that came from a Hotline review some time ago. They've changed some since then. I wouldn't put that stuff on food, it will get you high. I think. Or dead...........:hippie:

    Mystery Amp guess

Haha, no, that is about the only decent clip I have of an oddball amp. Most of the rest are what the general playing pulic uses, Marshall and Fender. I had just forgotten over a long period of time what that Silvertone I had was like. I think Leon has sold that amp too, like a coupla weeks ago...

Green Moore out of phase pup ???????

Yeah, it's a kinda fine art fooling with it, because the multitude of changes happen between the numbers 8 and 10 of either one of the volumes when in the middle position. LOTS of tonal differences there, and both volumes will have differences , depending on which one you use. It will still...

    Mystery Amp guess

It's a Silvertone 1482. And I think Fillmores in a Thorn. It's by my friend LeonC from TGP. I used to have a 100 watter Silvertone, and should have never offed it. Of course, that was a VERY long time ago. Early 70's, and the amp was kinda old even then. Particle-board contruction and...

Touches with Musical Greatness or Near Greatness !

It would take a book, but I got to hand-deliver to MANY of them. Amazingly, only one asshole in the bunch, but not enough of a one to say no.....:slash: The rest were delivered by hand through very close friends and associates of mine.

Green Moore out of phase pup ???????

 Yeah, guitars and cars wiring are pretty easy stuff. Girl Scouts can do it....they're just harder to insure.... To answer JLH's question: The necks and bridges will still sound the same individually, but in it middle position you can get a myriad of different tones. And all within a...

Green Moore out of phase pup ???????

Doesn't even have to be a 4X. A 2X + ground will work too. Like the real one has. Or EITHER mag.:slash: When you have 4X conductors, there are a TON of ways to wire up.

Green Moore out of phase pup ???????

Switche are just in the demo axes little Bro. My R8 is permanently out, my Vintage Mahogany (cheapest axe I have, and best sounding!! lol), is permanently in. They're the 2 I play the most. My SG is in too, but that one I pretty much play on the bridge dimed anyhow.......hehhehheh

Green Moore out of phase pup ???????

I have about 1/2 my guitars wired up like that no matter what pickups I have in there. Some I wire that way with a push-pull switch so I can have that effect...or not....:slash:
