My guess is part of the Murphy Lab process that ages the finish is resulting in it flaking off. If this is going to bother you, you probably shouldn’t buy an aged guitar to begin with. And to the guys bad mouthing relic guitars… I say whatever finish you like is lame and shouldn’t be available...
