This guitar is in great shape. Comes with original black CS case (no COA)
Purchased at Dave's by me and when it was new.
I love everything about this guitar except that it's an SG. SG's and Strats I tell ya...I always want one but never bond. This one plays and sounds great. I know all guitars...
You decide which is which.
Pricing for either is 4750 shipped overnight. CONUS only at that price.
I'd like to hold off on accepting trades for now. But don't be shy about asking. Just know I'm really only into Historics, replicas, relic Tele type guitars, etc.
I've had 4 of...
9 lbs (guessing, no scale available)
.095 - 1.055 Nicely rounded neck profile
Rings out so nicely. Plugged in character would be 'tele on steroids".
Has all 2019 features such as TH plastics, unpotted custombuckers, paper in oil bees, and the newer CTS pots, a huge...
A vintage opportunity has come my way. I'm tentatively offering a few guitars for sale in hopes of raising the dough. This is another one.
Many of you are familiar with this beauty formerly belonging to Vic. As I'm sure he'll attest, it's a truly special guitar. We just did the trade a few...
I'll get some more pics up shortly.
This is a 2004 in CSB. Back of the neck is sanded dead smooth with a light finish. Guitar shows signs of regular play, including some fret wear. There is still a ton of life yet in them of course but not a case queen by any stretch. Back has faded to a...
Up for sale is a stunning, near-mint gloss 2003 Braz R9. The guitar comes with original Lifton case, hang tags, and COA. All original
The weight is 8.4 lbs. Neck measures .093 - 1.01 and is nicely rounded. I love these early 2000's necks. It's full in hand but never cumbersome...
I bought this last November and have used it pretty sparingly since. Condition-wise it's close to mint.
2018 model in VOS - 5 digit serial #
Hair under 9lbs on bathroom scale
All original, no mods
.85 - .95 neck
Very resonant guitar with a distinct midrange...
Nice and light - around 7 lbs. Don't have a scale sorry.
Medium rounded C neck. It's not a crazy big neck but definitely not thin either.
Really rings out nice. Lots of resonance and bite in this one.
The quartersawn maple neck on this one is unreal in terms of figure and feel.
Have you ever bought a guitar purely based on it's qualities as a player? I went down to CME to buy a R8 that I was drooling over. But when I played it, I really wasn't feeling it. Good, fine, but didn't jump out at me. So I milled around a bit and played a solid dozen guitars or so. Close to...
This guitar has had an interesting history so far.
I bought it new in 2017. It was a sunburst R8, widely believed at this point to be a repurposed CC29. Great guitar. It ended up being sent down to HM for the Standard Package and finished in vintage ebony. Stunner. While there it got new frets...
Well some bottom feeding scumbag broke into my rehearsal space and made off with a few things. I don't care about the cheapo acoustic he grabbed but he also got my '87 Candy Apple Red Baretta, which I bought new. I admit I rarely use it for fear of poking someone's eye out with the headstock but...
Case queen alert! Or something like that!
Don't take that as a negative. This guitar is loud, vibrant, and plays great. It's just incredibly clean for an '02.
Weight is 8 lbs 15oz
Neck is .91 - 1.01 and between a C and D shape. Full in hand but comfortable to play.
2350 shipped conus.
Well this is embarrassing!
I've not had this more than a month and off it goes. I'm kinda getting out of the Historics to be honest. I may keep one or two but I've since found a line of guitars that suit me better as a player.
Keep an eye out for more LP's coming up for sale over the next few...
This is a special piece. Truly remarkable work. Wonderful medium round neck that plays itself. Full sound, not too bright. Color looks like nicotine white! Headstock face is of course stark white as the originals were, having used a different material.
This is the best relic work I've seen on...
We are considering re-homing this beauty. Bought two at the same time by mistake. Do I sell this or the 60th anniversary? I don't have the answer to that so I'll let the market decide.
This is a great player with a perfect round C shape neck. 8.8 lbs. Nice top. It has a little bit of the...
So far, so good. I'll be running it at some volume tomorrow and comparing to other historics. For now I'd say it's what we've come to expect from modern historics. Nice clear tone with a little bit of that tele sound. Not lacking warmth though which is important to me.
More to report on tone...
I'm afraid so.
I was reading another post that mentioned Slash being the inspiration.
It got me thinking. Who (realistically) made me interested in guitar? I was obsessed with guitars, drums, and all things rock from a young age. But, somewhat embarrassingly, I don't think it was until I...
Just bought this. It sounds great and spot on to original sound.
4 hole non master volume format with Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, Loudness 1 (high treble), Loudness 2 (normal). Bridging works perfectly and exactly as expected.
20 Watts with 2 EL-34's and 3 ECC83's.
Speaker cab is stacked...
