My laugh emoji was because of the hyperbolic use of the word “vandalism” which is just over the top...just like when some guy called it “criminal” or the other guy is comparing it to samurai swords. It’s all just silly to me.

This was one of thousands of mass produced guitars from a factory not some one of a kind hand made 1000 year old samurai sword. And on top of all that it was already vandalized far beyond originality.

It had been refinished, had a headstock crack repaired, had the original fretboard thinned way down to the point that (I assume the current board is non original), and it had been reamed for Grover tuners. With all that having been done and ruining the originality there is ZERO harm in converting this guitar.

If this was an all original guitar with no issues then and only then would I consider it vandalism
