VICE magazine (which is apparently still a thing?) published a story about men's hobbies that women find most attractive. I know we're not supposed to hotlink but it's easy enough to find.

Great news, my friends: The most attractive hobbies are learning a foreign language, playing an instrument, cooking, and woodworking. So apparently, the millions of us who first picked up a guitar with hopes of "getting all the chicks" were truly on to something.

How has it worked out for you all?

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go perform La Bamba while baking a cake for my special lady to eat at our homemade farm table...

If you play music that chicks like, then, yes.

I played in a band that had elements of punk and hardcore and speed metal/thrash.

Our exposure to chicks was limited.

When I started my own band, I was focused on rhythm and groove and emotive bluesy lead guitar.

In that case, I had chicks lining up to be next.

I also had a good paying job and a couple of Ducati motorcycles at the time, so that may have had something to do with it, too. :hmm:

Playing guitar is a way to get noticed but I can’t say it’s ever landed me any chicks that weren’t within reach anyway. It’s never made any that were out of my league flock my way.

Amber Heard -

Specifically, the 35-year-old Heard is reported to have stated that she did not like “hanging out in his house with his friends because it was boring and they were all old men playing guitars.”

Guess she doesn't give a shit for guitar players.
