I can’t stand any shorts that even come close to my knees. Mine are 3-5” above the knee. Good pocket depth.
You mean something like this?

Stylish footwear

One more line I never crossed.

Never in my life have I owned what anyone would call stylish footwear.
I’m far too utilitarian.

I have one nice pair of cowboy boots.
Black.

I currently have six pairs of Red Wing steel toe work boots.
(Company buys them.)
Three pairs of New Balance athletic shoes.
All in various states of wear and tear.

And one pair of dress shoes, hidden somewhere in a box that only my wife knows the location of.

every guy should own a pair of these. Short of a suit you can wear them with absolutely anything. Shorts and no socks. Jeans. Khakis. Dressy enough to wear to a good restaurant (not Michelin 5 star or whatever but a decent steak house) and the next day you can wear them to the beach. They last pretty much forever, the more broken in they are the better they look. They arent cheap, but not outlandishly expensive for a shoe that should last at least a decade.

Hmmmm…

Well, I got the Bassman.
Then the Bad Cat.
My A/B/C splitter pedal.

Got the watch thing squared away.
Got the ACOG for my M-1A.

Steak knives… not really.
But I can put my wife to work finding shoes for me!
I’ll make sure she gets right on it.

Cole Hahn shoes are for people with very, very skinny feet.
They are waaaaaay too narrow for me.

And, yes. I have tried their "wide" width. Nope.

I do not have Sasquatch feet, either... just a 10W.

I wore Clark's for years... Best shoe I've found for being on my feet all day... Love em....

Since retiring, I've grown fond of Skechers, especially these.... Lightweight and comfortable... think I'll get some more colors for all my bland but interestingly boring wardrobe.....

Thats the beauty of handsewn moccasin construction. Those things will stretch and shape themselves to your foot. Takes a few wearings, but if you remember the old Bass Weejun loafers its the same thing. You had to buy those things crazy tight and they would stretch like the dickens the first few wearings. Its bit uncomfortable but just like shrink to fit jeans, you gotta wear them to get them comfy

Sterrn is, and always was, a piece of shit.

"REMEMBERING DANA PLATO AND HOW HOWARD STERN HELPED DRIVE HER TO HER GRAVE.

In May 1999, Diff’rent Strokes star Dana Plato appeared on The Howard Stern Show.

She was raw, emotional, and clearly struggling, trying to claw her way back from years of addiction, poverty, and tabloid ridicule. She told Stern she was sober and doing her best. She even brought her fiancé on the air for support.

What did Stern do?

He mocked her.

He let callers humiliate her live on the air. He said he didn’t believe she was sober. He pushed her to take a drug test during the show. She played along at first — maybe trying to show she could take a joke. Maybe trying to save face.

But after the segment, she quietly asked for the hair sample back. Sterns' team refused.

The very next day, Dana Plato was dead.

Overdose. Ruled a suicide.
