Some people are charged with crimes over and over and over but for some reason never spend any jail time. No cash bail. Next crime. No cash bail. No jail time. Wonder why that is.

It’s best when justice is served ice cold.

justice gets served occasionally.

Man. I hope he did that by accident. He was changing lanes and didnt expect that rider to be there. I get it . When traffic is moving along at 70 mph and these organ donors come blasting by in and out. I get it. But when traffic is at a stand still......whats the big deal is a MC cruises by? We all would too if we could. If thats proven that officer did that on purpose without PC ( felony offense that places others in danger ) thats an agg battery.

Laws vary from state to state, regarding lane-splitting on a motorcycle.
It’s legal in some states, if not necessarily a good idea - and I’ve done it myself occasionally.

Traffic comes to a halt, in the hot sun?
I’m not opposed to easing my way through traffic to get free of the jam.
SLOWLY.

Can’t be surprised if some asshole swerves over to squeeze you out.
Or opens their fucking car door.
Gotta be ready for anything when only inches separate your flesh from cars with dickheads behind the wheel.

Zip through the gap like a fucking dickhead? Don’t be surprised if someone attempts to out-dickhead you.

Well without getting into subjects that are forbidden, the problem is largely that nobody wants to "be the bad guy" who puts people in jail anymore. And everybody says, "Oh it's not that person's fault they did something wrong. They were never breast fed as infants or somebody called them a bad name or they didn't get a trophy for riding the teeter-totter or the merry-go-round or something. So now they are have no choice but to do all those bad things because....LIFE"S NOT FAIR!"

It's not likely to change anytime soon. Keep your eyeballs open and look after your own.
Best I can advise.

Yeah …
I grew up there.

Out west, pheasant season’s a big deal.
And the harvest for wheat or corn.

Beyond that?
Eh…

We live in Clackamas County, about 12 miles from downtown Portland Oregon. This place in Kansas is an escape from crazy town. Closest neighbor to the south is almost half a mile. Closest neighbor to the north is .8 mile. East and West is prairie for as far as we can see. I left a guitar there and a 50 watt Marshall. Can’t wait to go back in October and play some Sabbath songs on the front porch for the neighbors.

Just curious. Do you not like Oregon? I’ve heard some good things about it over the years, but don’t really know. What’s better about Kansas vs. Oregon. How’s the music scene, shops? Sorry if I seem nosy, I’m always curious about different places, weather, lifestyles, geography, people, crime, etc.. I love looking at maps, and hearing stories about different places in the US. And, think about someday traveling around a little, and checking out our great country. Thanks Lungo!

The only reason we moved here from Alaska was to be close to my wife’s parents. Been here eleven years and we are leaving when that need no longer exists. Can’t go into detail why we dislike it so much without breaking the rules of the forum.

Since moving here I’ve seen Paul Gilbert, Guthrie Govan, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Yngwie, Opeth, Mastodon, and recently Dream Theater. Had chances to see others that I regret not going to. So yeah, there are advantages to living here. We definitely need to start taking more advantage of what the area has to offer.

Sentencing for burglary, theft, and property damage was this morning. He plead guilty to all charges and made a deal to get 2 years served concurrent with the 178 months already sentenced for drug trafficking. Ended up being misdemeanors but we don’t care. Most important thing to us was for him to be held accountable by admitting guilt and having charges on his record and we got it.
