NKD, Tripod comes home Monday.

so, after a week of bullshit from the vet, i got the word today that Tripod has not been adopted by any of the people that were "ahead" of me. so he comes home monday!







the first home he went to had a dog, and things went catastrophically bad resulting in him losing his leg. pretty fucked up start so he will be getting extra spoiled!

this is "Wrecks", tho they spell it "Rex", he won me over to having a cat this go around. he is an absolute terrorist, loves to play.



Tripod is more of a cuddler than Wrecks is.

He looks like he's looking at where his leg used to be and thinking WTF

I wasnt sure if the rumors were true, but I think its prudent to be friends with guys who walk softly and carry a big stick.




I know for sure I want to be friends with someone who steps up to care for an animal with special needs, when others walk away!

i knew i wanted him bad when his face popped up on my phone. that was last week.

last Friday i was initially told that he was mine.
then over last weekend i found out that someone was in front of me, in line for him.
then monday i went to the vet and they said that two people were ahead of me. and was basically dismissed from the process.

yes, that pissed me right off. they were playing games, favorites.

but this week i was looking at kittens online at the spca, even went to see a couple, but didn't find a bro/sis pair from the same litter, so i held off. plenty to do at the house, etc.

then i got the text this morning that everyone else bailed, and i could have him. i replied yes in as long as it took me to type three letters.

really had a feeling, or a hope, that somehow... then it did.

getting all the gear tomorrow, i'm going to petsmart for most of his stuff.

You are a good person.

Curious to see how he handles the litterbox with only 3 legs. Seriously.

He might get rowdy trying to cover up his business, and there may be random debris outside the box, so keep that in mind.

There waa a one eyed husky at the spca. It got adopted this week.

After what Tripod has gone through, I'll get a second kitten.
