New acoustic guitar day!
Picked this up yesterday. A friend in my ski club is a retired doctor and started building guitars a few years ago.
Very unique and fantastic but not cheap.
One piece arch top, blood wood back and sides. Adjustable action neck, not set.
Plays and sounds great.

Man that’s unique, is it a full sounding guitar?

He brought up 4 for me to try, all different. Spent at least 2 hours playing em all, swapping back and forth.
I've been looking for a parlor size/style guitar for a while.

He told me he really doesn't make one but makes some smaller size ones.
Any way, they all sounded good but this one was a cut above sound wise and the one piece arch top, etc
And yes, very full sounding and having the sound hole up top makes it really resonates.
The shape makes it really comfortable to play also.

Hopfully I can find a HSC for it

That’s not an opportunity you get every day - and you know the guy?

That’s very cool.

Looks like a stretched out neck, or is that just because of the headstock?
Looks cool though.
What scale length?

Enjoy!

In La Conner WA they have a guitar festival in May. Wife and I went there last year. It brings in probably 30-35 custom acoustic guitar builders from around the country. Some extremely cool acoustics. They also have workshops which are mainly extremely talented players showcasing some of the guitars.

Oh...and these guitars ain't cheap. They low end starts around $1500 for a few builders, but the majority were $5k or more, with a handful in the $20K-$30K range. Unbelievable craftsmanship.

And La Connor is a neat little town!

Yeah, I ponied up 2K. The only bargaining was cash no tax. Almost the most I've ever payed for a guitar. Wife said buy it so....
