I've done some searches and mostly found local references in various places, wondering where folks might recommend sending a new CS that UPS was kind enough to break the headstock on. Not snapped off, looks like a clamp and glue and a little finish touchup would put it right, but since it's new would like to get it done as nicely as possible. I assume Gibson will not repair, correct? Not trying to conceal it, just fix it right and have it look as clean as possible.

I can only assume you bought it from a non-authorized Dealer,
and don't have the warranty, or UPS Insurance.

Since we don't know where you live, you might want to mention your search results. Maybe someone will know and comment. I presume you don't want to ship it anywhere.

Sorry, I'm in New England, it was ordered from an authorized dealer but shipped on my own account, the shipping insurance will cover the repair. UPS just whaled on the box, it was not the dealer's fault. I don't mind shipping it to the right person, will put it in a spare padded exoskeleton Reunion Blues case which protects quite well in my experience. I have reached out to Gibson's repair and restoration service but not heard back.

I've definitely seen worse, and had a similar break repaired by Broken Neck near Boston a couple years back but looking for someone who can also touch up that custom finish. I know it will never be perfect but nonetheless.

See what Gibson says first.

My guess is they will recommend an authorized repair guy in your area.

I doubt they will take the guitar back.
If they did, it would be only to replace it.

@Freddy G was mentioned above.
He is in a foreign country adjacent to upstate New York, but I would definitely recommend him.

He doesn’t need to wait for them to give him this guidance. An authorized repair center in his area is always going to be Guitar Center.

That there is a DIY fix. Squirt as much tite-bond in there as you can, work it a little, clamp it, wipe off your squeeze out glue and let it sit for a day or two. Maybe a 10 minute job. You're lucky.

Yeah, that wouldn’t be good.
Where are you located?

I believe he said he was in a New England area.

A lot of private shops don’t want to get involved with warranty repairs, because the companies usually don’t pay them too well.

Many of the private shops that do get “certified“ do it for two reasons mostly. Either because they want to have a certificate on the wall that says, “Gibson authorized service center“ which does make it look good in the eyes of the customers. The other reason is, if there are in a smaller town, where they don’t get a lot of work, so they take whatever they can.

I agree. For someone who doesn't want to diy, I'd be comfortable taking it to any qualified luthier. It may look awful and scary but it's not a hard job for a person who actually works on guitars, as counter-intuitive as that sounds.
