F'kn Amazon Prime Days. There's a Roland GO:KEYS 5 keyboard I've been wanting since they were released and it's 21% off right now. Shouldn't do it. I have several synths and a controller already, but not a keyboard that I can just start up and play without programming or use with a PC.

I can't even play a piano, but I like to plink on one. If I recorded one, I'd have to track left and right hand separately LOL.

My ex-wife played piano when she was young. I got her a keyboard so she could get back into it.
I always liked piano, and always wished I had learned, so I started screwing around with it as well.

I read music on a kindergarten level.
I mean, I can decipher it if I have time.

I was using sheet music to try to figure out some really basic piano parts, but something was really wrong. The bass parts were completely screwy.

I mentioned this to a piano teacher we knew, and told her that the bass stuff wasn’t working at all.
It was all wrong.
“Yes, the bass clef is tricky until you know how to read music at a certain level. Keep at it, it will finally click.”

After a few minutes, I made the connection.
So that’s what middle C is all about!
Separate the bass and treble clef.
Because the notes are shifted!

WTF?

I was looking for something in an old thread and discovered that a photo I had posted was no longer visible. Back then I had several photo hosts but I deleted them all.
I edited the post and you can see my '13 Tribute GT and '14 Melody Maker before and after I replaced the black plastics with gold knobs and nickel covers.

Sister coming over; her cat took the bridge last week.
She's fine...she knew he was due.
He was pretty cool, tag along (at his own pace) with her, even outside.
His name was Finn.

She's bringing me his unused food and litter.
