Yeah, but this is infuriating - and if I say anything about it, I’m the asshole.

And I say this with my wife being an emergency coordinator for a school district, and decades of experience.

I got arrested in 2000, just trying to get back to my house in flood waters in Houston.
This was on Sunday, as the water was receding and we’re trying to get our lives back together.
Where were these motherfuckers on Friday and Saturday when we were surviving the wrath of nature?

I know we’re all supposed to get along, but these motherfuckers piss me off.

One of my best friends had to take his 92 year old mom into the hospital Thursday night for a leg infection that's not healing. They admitted her.

He gets home and several hours later in the wee hours of Friday mornng the 4th his wife has to call EMS for him. Later that morning he was having emergency surgery for a punctured bowel.

Life threatening stuff. Surgery went good and now the long road back to normal.

This coming Friday they're burying my neighbor Jeff's ashes at a little country cemetery up the road from us. He passed away last December at home. Was only 62.

Makes a person stop and thnk how fragile and short our time here is.

that's what losing my parents made me realize. life is short, it's why i moved so fast after losing mom, a little over a year after losing dad. check please, i'm out.


installed three new downspouts and fixed two more on the house. it had one working, albeit clogged, downspout. went with vinyl and glad i did, much easier to install than tin or whateverthefuck the metal ones are. no cuts in the process, on me.

so of course it didn't rain this evening. i fixed everything to working order but i do still have to install the gutter guards so i don't have to do this gutter cleaning shit again. even tho i'm all ground floor, its a pita and messy, but buy once, cry once.

i truly hope things don't "go south" for you texas folk, weather channel only reaches 3AM right now and it's clear so far.

fucking bastard is finally done. took 12 hours to get it to 200F, but i did start at 220F and should have known to start a little higher. dinner is done for tomorrow, and it smells so good in here while it's cooling.



it smells like bacon fucked a sausage.

Wife is home at last.

She saw a lot of Spain, Italy, and the Mediterranean Sea.

No more litter box duty for me.
