I have internet, and I received my payroll number, so no more state income tax.

Then, i ran my June payroll. :D

Uboxes were picked up, so I have my driveway again.

my god that shower is amazing. the normal shower head has great pressure and showers you like any other good shower, but the overhead hits you like a pressure washer.

a fucking mazing.

the mango trees will cost me $120 a year for the fertilizer, and should bear a lot of fruit. if they bring pests, they will get replaced by a couple red buds.

Just caught up with thread. Really glad you're settling in. If mangoes are like peach tress then you gonna be doing regular maintenance if you want good fruit.

from what i read, they get fertilizer three times a year and you have to give them space. mine are next to each other so i have to keep them off of each other.

found Noelle's urn, not gonna lie, that hit me hard, rip sweet girl.

It’s gonna take you a while to get used to the change of season.
I guess you know this already, but experiencing it will drive it home.

Instead of winter - and a few weeks of not winter - in Chicago?

You’re going to have perpetual summer with a cooler season around the first of the year.

I'm in the worst of florida's weather right now. I don't find it nearly as shit as subzeros in shitcago, and getting dark at four o'clock at night.

I just loaded the entire closet in the second bedroom with clothes that I will never wear down here because they're meant for winter.

Flannels, jeans, my glorious oodie, London fog winter wool jackets, a suitcase full of socks, suits, etc.

I haven’t spent much time in Florida, so I have to ask - does the gulf side have a constant onshore breeze like the Atlantic side?

When I was in Houston, that was the only real relief - getting down near the coast so at least there were some wind blowing to help combat the humidity.

It's always breezier, and cooler by the water.

It's never been uncomfortable there, watching this sunset.

I'm probably not going down to the beach for sunset today because it's the fourth, and I expect it to be packed. So i'm just going to continue unloading shit at the house.

Weekends are always packed at the beach. Weekdays are much nicer.

In florida, friday counts as a weekend day.

But by that l
1 = red
2 = blonde
3 = brunette
4 = 2 of em.
5 = all of em.

me: rookie n00bs, the fact that i have to explain this...

you deserve nothing.
But by that line of figuring, you actually get 7 things; you'd have to count blonde & redhead, blonde & brunette, and redhead & brunette to have a comprehensive accounting of possibilities.

neighbor behind me is having a hella bash. he has a huge gazebo with two televisions, a pool, and a big ole center console in the driveway.

i swear that is a neighborhood flex, plopping a center console in the driveway. i find it funny as "where i come from" if you can afford the boat, you better also afford the slip so you aren't launching and pulling it out every time.

but it's different here, obviously.

still, a dude i want to be friendly with, neighbor and all. if i get a real friend out of the deal, bonus.

well i'm smoking a pork butt in my smoker, on my patio. i've got everything in the house, still some unboxing to do, things to set up, pieces to find, etc.

the gutters are in desperate need of some love, that may happen today. we're getting rain every day for the most part, some are downright impressive.

sounds like the actual move is complete at this point, it's all fix this, create that.

I have a back yard to do, i'll probably make a thread on that, it will be quite the fun. i'm thinking a waterfall and brook. plants to attract hummingbirds, etc.

thanks to everyone for following along!

here's the pork butt before going into the smoker this AM.
