I'd be interested in the Parker Fly

I am confused a bit. If your wife demands some guitars be sold, the remedy for that is (IMHO) divorce. But if you are downsizing your place, and have some high dollar guitars you need to loose due to lack of new space, that is a totally different matter. Where to sell them and how to value them? I have had good luck selling guitars and gear right here on this forum in “for sale”. May not always work, but it is a no commission Pricing? For real high dollar guitar, I’d contact vintage dealers and find out what they’d ask. Then, in listing here, I’d cut that price by 10% to 15% for a start. For not so valuable gear, I’d check prices for the same stuff on Reverb. Then, I’d list it for 10% less here. And be prepared to negotiate, remembering that somebody isn’t taking a 20% to 30% commission off of what you receive. And by]y selling here om]n “member;s classified “ I always felt like my gear got a good home. I always told the seller what I liked (and didn’t) about the item. After the sale I always contacted them to see how it was going for them. Response has always g]been positive. One buyer fixed a problem I’d had with the item, and nobody wanted me to take the item back. It;s a good thing to sell on MLP.

I’d start by listing here in the Member Classifieds. Couldn’t hurt.

From there, feelers out on Craigslist and FB Marketplace.

If you don’t mind paying a fee, Reverb would be my next stop.

eBay is an alternate but given the music focus of Reverb I think that’s a better option.

Be wary of scammers and bs artists, like with anywhere. Document everything with photos and videos. Ship with insurance.

If it feels too good to be true it probably is, and if it feels shady or just “off” it also probably is.

I asked WHERE

Do you *need* to sell them now to finance the move etc? Or is it just space saving? As others have said, the market seems basically ****ed, if you're in no hurry perhaps put them in storage for a bit and see if things improve?

It's space saving. not a financial thing- i'll take my time and get the right price for them.

Here is a story of why I would suggest Chicago Music Exchange.

I was selling off my Brother's vintage collection. First, they gave us 65-75% of current retail value. One guitar was a '66 SG Jr. When I brought it in after their offer from pictures, they said that they would have to keep to that offer, because even in person, it looked to be refinished,

However, after I left with the check, they had the paint analyzed. It came back old enough and original composition. They then called me and sent a check for the additional amount that all original brought.

Not many places would have done that.
